BK I seen that thread on SEOCENSORCHAT, I really did not take the time to worry about it, you know what I think of Page Rank. It is a technology that is not really relevant at all. It is sort of like saying Google never favors ADSENSE publishers in the SERP's, that is hype also. Yes Google will give high rankings to sites that are linked from high ranked sites, but Page Rank is just a scam so folks can see page rank in exchange for Google to data mine their surfing habits. So that is why it is all based on a lie, you get you look at page rank and try to figure it out, while Google gets to spy on your surfing habits. It is really a waste of time and needs to be realized as such, it is simply a datamining tool (the Google toolbar) that has some folks hooked like they are smoking crack. Is that crazy enough for you BK?
Yes, and off topic to boot :) The question wasn't whether PageRank is a good or bad thing. The issue I had was with the expose by the seo crowd. The SEO people online are one twisted gang. They pretend to give help on the forums but for the most part are competitors. I was just wondering why they felt the need to take this link down so bad? Also, what do you think of Google-Watch site? Seems sort of the same thing you're running.
I think the subject that was brought up is one that is hard to even understand for most. As far as Google Watch, most of the stuff the guy has been saying for the last few years is coming to pass, the truth hurts, but you have to hand it to those who are willing to put their ass on the line to expose spyware and half truth's. 1) we are not a spyware vendor, BIG LIE NUMBER 1 2) our search results are organic, BIG LIE # 2 3) Google never accepts money for SERPs lie # 3 what is traffic redirection to ADSENSE publishers websites? 4) Don't be evil, The biggest joke of all, these guy's are the biggest liers in the world, is misleading the public by spyware software (Google autoupdater in toolbar that can not be shut off) a good policy? How do you know what software that is installed in the auto update? 5) Telling the press that search results are never sold, wait until the press gets done with them, they have the nerve to make fun of Yahoo at past search engine conferences, when Google executives lie to the press about never selling search results. As far as the SEO community, these guy's fall hook line and sinker, even promoting PAGE RANK SPYWARE, (let's sit around and try to get better page rank while Google data mines our surfing activity so us dumb surfers can look at a page rank gauge), what a good trade for Google, they show you a little gauge, but at the same time they know every page you have viewed. Looks like they have most of the so called "SEO's" brainwashed... How do the Blind follow the Blind Google Preachers (google spies)? Google planted moderators on forums being followed by young webmasters who do not know any better YET. Look at this truth, Google executives are math experts, if they can fool 80% of the people (planting spies on forums) and only 20% understand that Google has the 80% fooled, Google still wins. But I would venture to say that those figures will be turned around shortly.
they were calling him a hacker! i think they gave him the link legitimately. all he had to do is say he was selling text links. this is a serious issue. he sold text links from his site. then his pr got pulled? that means that google does do hand editing of the web. they responded to what was said in a thread and made changes to their website which made changes to his. this is a very serious thing.
Edwin, it is about time you write about something, maybe this is your chance, I DO NOT understand this, can you, since you have some insight please explain this? I understand a lot, but this one has given me a mental block, so you and BK, please figure this out and I will watch on the sidelines and try to gain some wisdom from you and BK. OK, and Edwin, is it not time you put a few articles on SON ?       By the way, Google does not follow any of their own guidelines or policy statements. If they did they could not cheat. You should know that by now, those are just put out to BRAINWASH the public.
google can not use editorial control and retain their rights. when they are finally public they will be targets for enormous amounts of lawsuits. their defense will hinge on the fact they are merely a search engine and do not make editorial decisions concerning their search index. what we saw was human intervention that changes the whole index. when they pull the link from jacks site it has an enormous affect on the sites he was linked to. in effect they hand edited the serps because of something they read on a forum. that scares me. they are reading this now and will bury the society of nerds forever!
Believe me Edwin you have nothing to worry about, if you get enough content on your site and good links they will not ban you. They have Billions of pages, unless you hit them on the head with a ballbat you will have no problems. First, even if you write about Google, the other 70% of searches (Google competition) pick you up even if Google bans a site. So the math is in your favor. If you base your content strategy on just saying only nice things in your articles you make a grave mistake. When a reporter gives account of war or business it is not always nice, look at Enron, a lot of bad stuff is being reported to this day, that story is 2 years old. What is most important is to write it as you see it, if the subject matter is of great interest, all of the engines (including Google) will pick it up. Quit fretting about what Google will think and put up the best site you can with relevant links and you will do fine. Do not become blinded by PAGE RANK, just put up your content, whatever you think has editorial integrity and even if Google were you ban you, the other 70% will pick it up, I say the math is in your favor. We find that forums and blogs get us more traffic than Google anyway. So quit your worrisome ways and put up content of interest and editorial integrity. If the content is good it will be picked up by everyone, including Google.
