Ethics of selling PR.

It's not a matter of "what if" Google is corrupt. The question is how corrupt. Link selling now rules the SERPS. Its become a completely common and accepted practice. People are doing it and openly discussing it. As long as they say they are buying text links it will not be a problem. If they say they're purchasing PageRank, the whole thing turns ugly in a minute. But I can't say I blame anyone for selling it if they got it. Websites aren't free to run.

Like everything else on the Internet, PageRank is being monetized. The smart people are cashing in on their popularity and how can you really blame them? But the one thing it does is make you be more realistic concerning ranking in Google. It's not enough to tell newbies to build quality content. That alone will not get them ranked. To get ranked, they will have to spend much time and money. If not, they can always go the PPC route. Google makes more money that way anyway.

SHHHHHH! We are not allowed to talk about google no more, they might find out and we will get in trouble, keep this quiet

I'm actually getting excited to see Google go public. They will have a lot more reporting to do then.
