The Sandbox is a made up term Ricky. It means the sites are left to play by themselves in their own sandbox. I couldn't say for sure what the cause of it would be. I doubt its making the Internet a better place to be.
oh, certainly not a good thing! personal websites and non-profit sites are much better (usually) than those with some economic goal. that's what i observe.

i think one way links for ecommerce are impossible. competitors would be crazy to do that.
There's other ways to get one way links: 1) Directories 2) Press Releases The Press Release option is not bad at all. Gives you some natural one way links fast. PRWeb will blast out 65,000 emails of media sources for $80.
you can always ask. see how many sucker webmasters there are.
Paid advertising is another way. And it's probably the fastest.
Are new links from new sites still getting sandboxed???
