This is a hosting error. It should be back up shortly.
It should be back up now.
Interesting concept, but is this against AdSense TOS?
I think it is for sure.
I had thought about creating some web app with AdSense ad that I can co-brand with other sites via iFRAME. I have not done it because I think it will be against policy.
i would be careful of that. it also seems to go against the idea of creating pages just for adsense too.
[quote:89821fd85c="paul"]Interesting concept, but is this against AdSense TOS?[/quote:89821fd85c] No it is not. Why would it be? It is completely ethical. Our site is approved to show Google ads. Why should it matter who get's credit for it? The key is public so anybody can see yours just be visiting your site. I'd love to debate this with anybody who disagrees.
Interesting idea! Have you contacted Google directly to get a simple answer if this is okay?
i definitely get the impression the tos is for one individual.
There is definitely nothing against it. I am still waiting to hear back from Google. It's in Google's best interest to allow this as it can only benefit them. Once a site is approved to show AdSense ads, why would Google care who get's the commision for them? Here's somebody who has been doing it longer than myself. http://forums.digitalpoint.com
cool bling. let us know if they ever respond to you. i doubt they care because its just more money for them.
A lot of stuff in the TOS is just to protect Google from major abusers. If you act ethically, you shouldn't ever have a problem. No response from Google yet btw.
They respond to about 10% of their email from what I can see.
Here is the original email sent to Google concerning my phpBB Adsense revenue sharing. [quote:24d06421fc]From: <NAME REMOVED> <ADDRESS REMOVED> Subject: Other Date: Wed, 14 Jul 2004 11:53:48 -0700 Does Google have any current qualms about me showing adsense ads using other people's AdSense ID? Before any decision is made please just look at my points. 1. My site is approved to show Google Ads. 2. I have the People's permission to use their ID as they get the payment (If there is one). 3. This 100% NOT a "You click on my ad and I click on yours" deal. This is just a way for me to reward my site users. I know that Google is very open to new and different ideas as long as they are ethical. Seeing as how the same ad will get displayed regardless of who's id is used, there is no difference Google's AdWords customers or to Google itself. Thanks for your time. <NAME REMOVED>[/quote:24d06421fc] Here is their response... [quote:24d06421fc]Hello <NAME REMOVED>, Thank you for your email. Currently, it is not against AdSense program policies to display ad code from other publisher's on your sites. You can review our complete program policies at https://www.google.com/adsense/policies. The AdSense ad code on the 'Ad layout code' page is valid for any page in any site that complies with our program policies. Please note AdSense publishers are only allowed one set of Google ads (one copy of the AdSense ad code) on each page. We constantly monitor all of the web pages displaying Google ads. If we find that one of your web pages violates our policies, we will notify you and ask you to remove the AdSense ad code from that page. Please feel free to reply to this email if you have additional questions or concerns. For technical support, please email adsense-tech@google.com. Sincerely, Christine The Google Team[/quote:24d06421fc] It is perfectly acceptable to share your AdSense revenue. In fact if there is ever a problem, Google will notify you first instead of just shutting you down.
sweet! i think its great you got an email too. you may want to incorporate that into your f.a.q. for anyone who has the same question.
