New High Rated Brower Available for PC

ah no...that no fair

it looks fairly cool, but i have a very deep affection for mozila firefox.

As much as I hate to admit it, I'm an IE junky..bugs and all. It might sound lame and I hope this doesn't degrade my reputation around here..

Brigid, I have 4 different browsers loaded now, you can switch one for another, you do not have to delete one to use the other. I have IE Netscape The one mentioned in the thread And I am loading MYIE2 right now.

ie is the one for me

So many browsers and Email addresses! How do you decide "what browser/ Email address to use today?" Flip a coin? Or just close your eyes? Or decide on your mood? I want to have that problem, but I'd like to have it when I look in my garage and decide what car I feel like driving!

Brigid, I will tell you that there are advantages to having all of these browsers each one has different features. You should download the thing, it is great, it asks you if you want to make it your default browser, you just say no. You have a desktop icon to click on whenever you wish to use it, it is simple. And those Yahoo 100MB free email accounts are a dream come true, you just don't know what you are missing. 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O :P :P :P    :?: :?: :?:

Now that I have pondered this I decided That this a good idea..Only seeing the internet through Microsofts eyes might give me a limited "view" of the internet. Thanks for the suggestion!

there are quite a broad number of things you see extra from microsofts perspective, *cough*adware*cough* you may see a little less!

I got it downloading a program today, I finally just bought a program to clean it.. within 10 minutes I was so annoyed! I can imagine that tech desks are busy trying to cure this pesky unwelcome progrms!

you bought a program? do they work any better than the combined power of free anti-vir, sypbot, and adware? All free? *shrugs* i would never buy anything like that

Brigid, Please explain what program you are talking about and describe your problems so we can help you. I have no idea what you are even talking about, have you read your last two posts?

Yes I am quite aware of my last posts. I was downloading a "Browser" to have a view of the internet, must not have read the "fine" print and downloaded adware with it. Popped up every click of the mouse. Couldn't live life under attack, even after add/ remove, delete etc. so I found a program. It deletes cookies as they come in. Alerts you too. Also scans your system for other spyware/adware.. etc. I hope that this helps to explain a little.. I didn't think I went that far off topic!

Brigid, I know you hesitate to answer questions sometimes but I am going to ask you one more time, did you ever download the AVANT browser? I have found this to be better than Mozzilla, MYIE2, Netscape and all the rest. I have only two browsers now AVANT and IE, I deleted all the others yesterday and defragged my HD. Do you ever erase your temp internet files and cookies and did you ever download the SPYBOT 1.3 and Adaware and do you know how to use them?

this is the part where crazy old ac goes stalker on ya! :P

I will answer your question: No to Avant Browser. Yes, I do frequent maintenance on my computer. Delete Cookies, Delete Files. Defrag. Etc. There is nothing more annoying than a malfunctioning computer. Yes and Yes. :)

You don't know what you are missing, that Avant Browser is the best thing since Edwin started posting. 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O

I will not start stalking her until she Emails me her picture Edwin, now quit throwing around false information. 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O    8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O

in what way is it better than say moz or firefox?

It is a very small footprint on your hard drive, very clean, I tryed those other browsers, they were hard to learn, could not find my favortives in firefox. Avant, everything is quick, clean and easy to learn and operate. 8O 8O 8O 8O

i guess it's small because it uses IE as a base (that is right isn't it?) i find firefox very clean and easy to use for me, but if you're not so used to trying other things then it can be a bit tricky using new stuff. firefox/moz is invaluable for web designers/developers because it is standards compliant and the web developer toolbar is a *huge* aid in designing, so you can outline all/any elements of your design, view classes and ids, update css 'live' in the sidebar, use one-click validation for css/html/accessibility, plugin themes and extensions (e.g. mouse gestures ala opera make surfing a breeze), disable pop-ups, images, java, javascript... well i guess you know i like it by now. basically anything apart from IE. well each to their own and the main thing is to try a few and see what YOU find best and are happy with :) i guess i should try avant but i can't see any point!

Yes you are right, it runs on top of the IE engine, but so does MYIE2 browser that I tried and deleted the same day, the Avant Browser is much better than that one. Thank you for the education, when looking at it from a designers standpoint Firefox and Mozilla looks great. But from a surfers standpoint the Avant Browser is a very good one. Thank you for the knowledge and keep on posting. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
