It was all the rave back then. That is the thing about technology, it is ever evolving, soon it was colored TV. Then it was big screen, then it was plasma. It was 3 stations to start, then cable slowly started emerging, then satellite.. You get the idea.. Not surprising that the media wants to deliver their messages in new and exciting ways. How do you keep a captive audience? I could go into a big long thing here, but I'll skip it for now..

True, but demographics will have a huge part to play. There are still a lot of people without computers or still on dial up connections. A lot of Windows 95 machines are out there hanging tough. Some people may not want to buy that with hard earned money.. Example: A flat screen TV sounds like a cool thing to have, but since I don't "need" it, I can wait till the price comes down before I buy it. However, there are a lot of technology freaks out there that would probably love this and have it on back order. That is the market BGDTV will appeal to.. Other questions: Who is the backbone provider/ content manager for BGDTC? Will it be the cable company? The phone company? Satellite? A company that isn't even formed yet? My guess is the last one..
SBC is investing 6 Billion dollars in high speed optical fiber, they operate in your area (they bought Ameritech). So there you go.
