Question about changing out a website

did someone change an IP address by chance?

Clueless...all I know is they asked me for my login info so the could change the name server? The same company is hosting my site just a new site built by a different design firm.

that's what i figured. they moved the server. you are still working on the old server and the changes aren't being seen by you. if you're using XP, go to your command prompt and type "ipconfig /flushdns". that will force your computer to get the new IP. either way it should clear up soon.

Some people have been able to view the new site since last night....some people..along with myself are still having the old one come up when you go to my domain. The design guys said it just depended on which ISP updates whatever it updates and when. Apparently some ISP's have updated what they need to to find the new site...some havent. All I know is Im confused by the whole thing. And im hoping its all updated and working by tomm night..Im going on a radio talk show tommorow night to discuss my website and Im gonna look like an idiot if it isnt viewable by everyone by then ..hehehe... not to mention all the sales i'll miss and people who may decide they want to come back all the time. they are most likely right! it generally will take no more than 24 hours or so for all the DNS servers to update. it will get done in time for the show. pretty nice deal, going on the radio to promote a website. let us know how it goes.

I sure will....Im kind of nervous.. This guy's show has thousands and thousands of listeners. I guess I'll be o.k. as long as he don't ask me to sing. DNS has been changed now for 26 hours and 20 mins. I hope I wake up and its there. Hawg
