Dont pay SEO companies do it yourself

any child can do it sure. but it will take a child a very long time in the competitive keyword fields.

Actually, the way things looks lately, you're better off doing it yourself. I see a lot of companies complaining that their SEO firms got them banned. You pay a company and they knock you out of the SERPS? Ouch! But I guess most SEOs learn their trade in webmaster forums, so what the heck do you really expect?

[quote:e39dd89f47="starguru"] SEO is not brainsurgey year old child can do it. [/quote:e39dd89f47] You got that right ;)

There's definitely helpful people in forums and they give some good advice. But the reality is, its getting to be a full-time job to rank in Google. People better be prepared to do a lot of work to rank. Sometimes its' easier to hire a pro.

"David Caroline - Melbourne - Australia "A very small price to pay for such priceless information. If it wasn't for your amazing book I would still be plodding away on 50 hits a day but now I'm regularly in the thousands. If I ever met you I would shake your hand for hours and buy the drinks all night, every night. If it wasn't for this book I wouldn't have paid off my mortgage. A million thank you's" lol. i bet he would buy drinks all night long!

SEO is not brainsurgery, but neither is webdesign or print media. However GOOD webdesign, print media and SEO are worth paying for IF you know where to spend your money.
