Compared to Yahoo, they're literal geniuses.
I don't know BK, I like Yahoo's new look at lot, I think they will give Google a run for their money down the road. Mr. Gates will have something to say about this in the end also. The main thing is the separation of organic results (that is what I am talking about in this thread, ORGANIC RESULTS) from paid inclusion. Yahoo must separate the paid inclusion PERIOD down the road and I think they will by labeling these results plainly. Google CLAIMS they do not have paid results in the organic results, but they are not telling the truth on this as they direct traffic to ADSENSE publishers websites by listing them high in the SERP's. So who would you believe first, someone who lies to you about the issue or Yahoo who has admitted to a paid inclusion policy? Both of these companies need to be honest and label paid results and quit blowing smoke around and tell webmasters the truth. 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O        8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O
google has more automation built into their product. they can build it cheaper, faster, make it more scalable, and give partners a larger cut on ad revenue. google = way better
yahoo and google developed differently. google was always more open and co-operative. yahoo has always been devoted to profit only.
For the sake of speed, Google only shows the top 1,000 results. So with a claimed amount of 4 billion plus pages, we only see a small sample of the actual available documents on the Internets. Add to that the fact that the pages we see are usually SEO'd, and you can see why there are definitely some "bad results". But if you consider overall, how many results are good, especially as you get less commercial, and you realized that overall Google has done a pretty good job. And most impressive has been their ability to scale their solution. We will see if Yahoo and MSN can compete.
i find what im looking for most of the time.
Bill Gates actually has some kind of grannd vision concerning eerything. I read an article yesterday on how in 10 years, he sees computers and TV's will be able to recognize users by voice and face recognition. To me this sounds creepy, and it doesn't help consumers one bit. But I'm sure it would help Gates bottom line if his vision became reality..
www.google.com/search?q=advertise+website+buy+sell&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&c2coff=1&start=240&sa=N look at the above search and tell me if these are good results, go 5 pages after you get to the above links, then click on the links and you will see this is a adsense traffic redirection scam by Google.
Those are some really good results, Anthony. I found everything I was looking for *wink* For real, I wish I had words to console you. Googlebot has been a very busy bee lately.. as has Inktomi and MSN. Maybe there is an update coming soon?
you're focusing on the negative. imagine how many great right on searches there are!
Didn't know that google put adsense ads in their search results without putting sponsored links or something like that. Are you sure they are doing that?
Well, the negative is that Google (the so called Florida update) has most webmasters completely fooled. The real reason behind the SERP shakeup was that Google diluted the search results so much that it forced webmasters to buy ADWORDS to stay in the game. I call it the ADWORDS UPDATE (ADWORD ALGO), they also started listing very high and in high numbers their ADSENSE publishing partners in a BIG way. You can see this all at www.webcenter.squarespace.com if you are interested. You can also see the same thing mentioned at http://www.clickz.com/experts/search/opt/article.php/3358551 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O
web marketers should buy adwords. its to their benefit.
well, i usually find what i want. Anthony, how do you know that's just not an oddball pile of results? So they use adwords... a lot of sites do. there's bound to be some odd results.
RickyJo This has been going on since 11/2003 It is a Google Adense Scam GoogleSpam for clicks into Adsense
Google is just in it to make money. I still quite like altavista if i cant find on google they are usually a bit better. and at least they arnt as sneaky in the way they do things. ps I would spend money on oveture before addwords. Perhaps just because I am not to fond of google.
