The REAL way to Make Money

ya got that right!

Thats quite a good add for his website. needs to be shorter though.

[quote:a13b8e0b76="darksat"]needs to be shorter though.[/quote:a13b8e0b76] Thanks. Usually, I am much shorter and to the point, but I was going for the classic long-winded marketing schpeel. ;)

The "long pages" must have a lot of success. You always see them being used.

[quote:94eb20390b="Searchey"]The "long pages" must have a lot of success. You always see them being used.[/quote:94eb20390b] They work for people in marketing who believe bullshit is valuable, and in some cases they do work in real life, but only in the right context with the right audience. People try to pad stuff out a lot of the time so there appears to be more info in it than there actually is. But in real life a lot of consise info is really whats needed.

i think long pages can work on the internet its great for ebooks and marketing info. one product stores could use it too. see if you wear down the surfer.

I think valuable content is a better idea.

in theory yes, but not every product can produce a lot of content. if you are in charge of selling penis enlargers, there is only so much informative content you can make.

I will bow to your experince in that field.

Heh. Yeah, I don't know why these long marketing pages are so popular, they seem to be the gold standard for the internet marketing warriors. I'd rather get the specs and facts, not a page telling me 215 different reasons why I'd be foolish to pass up the offer. But wait there's more! Call now, operators are standing by... LOL!

You forgot "if you act now..." or "limited time offer" :king Visit the most comprehensive Las Vegas Real Estate and Henderson Real Estate website online. Or look at pictures of my Parrot[/size:ff371bd14c]

Seriously, none of you are ever going to be rich. However if we all band together [b:2c46198fa5]I can be rich[/b:2c46198fa5]. Whatever money you have, give it to ME! That's right, contribute it to my dream of "being rich and laughing at poor people". I personally guarantee that I will not be the slightest bit grateful. So whether or not you are middle class, lower class or have no class give me your money whether it be $20 your grandma gave you for your birthday or the $1.15 you got from taking back your pop cans. Ruin your life and send me your bling here. Click here to screw the poor people

Ok bling, if you insist, I was going to spend all my money on food and stuff but you make such a compelling argument.

It could be the latest food diet. You can't eat all that junk food if I have all your money. We could put together a website where I show a room filled with all my donations. I would then attach a webcam and roll around in it. (Aren't dellusions great!)

Limited time offers are a must. It's a [b:b8c0f4c2a8]call to action[/b:b8c0f4c2a8]. If you allow the average web surfer to think on his own, he will, and he'll leave your site behind and buy from a competitor. The long selling pages use all of the marketing techniques that are required on the internet. They use a series of sweeteners, each one getting progressively better, until they wear down the resistance of the prospect. Let's face it, you don't have a sales person when you have a website, and you don't have the trustworthiness of a retail store. So you have to make your website as strong as possible, or there's no chance you'll sell anything. You can't afford to be blase with the visitors. They will leave, and when they leave, they will buy the same product from someone else.

since you don't have a face to face presence you have to establish trust. anything that looks shady or doesn't function on your site will kill you.

And you have to look professional & create the right image. I think a professional site would do better than a sloppy one with limited time offers.

use both. professional sales copy and a nice design and image. also add as many photographs as you can. its easier for people to believe when they see.

I agree, use both. Look professional as you can, but there is nothing wrong with offering specials or sales. We've had good success in online retail by offering monthly or seasonal specials. Also having a newsletter with which to broadcast these offers helps.

[quote:6e0eadb248] Limited time offers are a must. It's a call to action [/quote:6e0eadb248] I don't really believe in the old FUD tactic (instilling fear uncertainty and doubt about your competitors), but I've taken this little tip to heart. Thanks!
