Best counter and statistics service?

do you have php/mysql installed? if so you might wanna go with something like webalizer. you probably don't want a counter to display on your website. that sort of looks "1997" if you know what i mean.

Get a host that has your own.

I agree with Edwin.. Webalizer is a good one...

Personaly, I would stay away from hit counters, I agree with the group cause they tend to date your site.

Hi, I may be late in posting this, but I use Surf Stats, it is a program you have to run yourself from the log files, unless you get the live version, but that is pricey... The regular Surf Stats gives you alot of detail and the price is inexpensive.. and best yet.. they finally got all the bugs out of it... you can download a full version, and use it for free for 30 days to try it out.
