How many other designers are we bidding against in each catagory? We pay per lead, but we could get $500 leads a week and get no customers true? Are your leads reliable? (ie: How many ask for bids then follow thru vs ask for bids and don't follow thru?) Which field do you have the highest visitors under? Personal, Pro or ECom? I guess I'm kinda looking for more statistical data... Your site states thousands, but no statistical or averages? In something like "rentacoder.com" you're fighting against a LOT of people and busting your butt for almost no pay... Are these people guaranteed to be a certain price? IE: if a visitor requests an ecom site with xyz details for $1000.00 then turns around and adds to the details... do you avoid guarantees on your site or will we have to fill in that project for $1000? I'm truly not trying to trash your site.. I think its an excellent idea.. and with more information, I would probably do it... But I would be a lot more comfortable with more information...
Stormex.com has no direct involvement in the business between two parties. All we do is as you said "introduce" both sides to each other. Customer can request quotes from web design companies for free. Design companies have to make an initial deposit which depends on their membership type and pay per lead which also depends on type of lead they receive. Right now we have a one week of free leads promotion. You do not have to make any deposits and you can cancel after one week if you don't like our services. Hello again Our customers have an opportunity to select the number of designers they want to contact. They can choose as few as 3 and as many as 8. It is possible that you can get no customers even though you got many leads. It is up to you to get that customer's attention and offer him/her the best deal. Our most popular category is Professional. To get the leads from that category designers will have to purchase at least gold membership. Stormex.com does not act as a mediator between you and the customer. We just provide you with contact info along with some approximate details about the project. If after getting more details you decide to raise the price then it is up to you to make sure that customer agrees. About statistic. I haven't been working for that long so I don't have sure statistic right now, only the projected one which wouldn't help you much. Bottom line is, I believe I could help web designers. I believe that there is no reason for design market to have problems because there are planty of people looking for web design. I would gladly provide you guys with those services for free but I have to eat something too. I have a lot to learn about web development industry and I hope that you designers will help me. Who knows better what designers need then designers themselves. So if you teach me and tell me what I can improve on, I will do it and make Stormex services better for everyone. Dang.. I hope not.. if so I'll be out of business!! LOL A lot of people "Cringe" at the use of templates.. but those same people that cringe, are my best customers.... I do "custom designs" for over 30 web designers.. in which they turn around and sell back to the people who hired them... So my theory is.. as long as you add the touches to make it your own... who cares?? Let them complain!
My point exactly. I think site should be easy to navigate and access and should look nice. but who cares if its a template or not as long as you have good services of any kind. Besides interface is for the customer not designers and customers dont care if its a template or not.
