For free host, I like netfirms.com better Take a look at this old article of mine. I think it is still relevant. How to Create a Web Site
[quote:d9440b7091="setmesumhelp"]i would like to create a website but i dont no how, where or what to do basically......... ..snip.. how do i create the website and with what do i create it with????? oh yeh also do any of you guys no anything about how 2 use flash or javascript ive been using it but geting no were at all trust me!!!!! thanks!!!!!! byeeeeeee[/quote:d9440b7091] What to do about a free host? hmmmm, that's a tough one. How do you create the website and what with? - much easier question: you can use one of a gazillion web page creation tools and editors... many free and many that cost money. Search online for "web editor" or "web page creator" and you'll get lots to choose from. Download some and try them out locally on your computer. Once you're off and running, you can pick some free hosting provider (wink, nudge) to host your content. Then it's try and try and try again... lots of trial and error is the best way to learn web page creation and development. It's easier than it seems... Flash or Javascript? same advice, search on it and see what you can find in terms of editors or advice. What I've seen that's especially effective, is to ask specific questions in these types of webmaster-related forums. Lots of helpful folks abound and are willing to share their ideas and tips with you. Last bit of advice... be persistent. If you don't find the answer you want, keep looking, it's out there somewhere for sure.
The free hosting that I use for my company site is: http://www.allfhosting.com , it has more than enough space for most people. It doesnt have any forced ads what so ever and most of all it is free for life! What I have noticed is, you shouldnt do any coding on there file manager, because they add there own popup code if you do. I found that out the hard way! I had to redo my page codes offline then upload them. NOTEPAD is a great tool to do coding... But yeah, if you do your entire site offline, then upload it to there server you shouldnt have any type of problems. Oh yeah if you were wondering, I think they support CGI and PERL... Also your sites URL would be something like this: http://www.aloofhosting.com/yourcompany/index.html For all of you that want to get a FREE domain like short URL redirector, with no forced popups. Your sites URL would be something like: http://www.yourcompany.co.nr .... and all you would do is foraward it to your free hosted site.... Okay, thats all the secrets I can give you! Important links: http://www.aloofhosting.com (FREE HOSTING) http://www.co.nr (FREE DOMAIN NAME REDIRECT) HAVE A GREAT DAY!
Thanks rabbit.
