THE REAL ELECTION FOR PRESIDENT OF THE USA

your caps lock should be improved.

Yeah EZ, maybe you should start using some once in a while too! Did you ever notice that you never use them EZ? 8O 8O 8O 8O

Most people dont.

i like jam

Warning attempted thread jack. Oh wait this is general discussion. I dont like jam, I believe it is evil and in a plot with the girl guides to take over the world. and thats my hobby dammit.

are you getting any where with it

Its going slower than hoped.

really...what the main hold up

Shut Up OZ, I am going to tell BKZ to ban you and EZ

and why?

My first attempt at a zombie footsoldier failed because the test subject was to crazy.

go way

His name was crazy neill, he used to busk around paul street. I figured pick him because people ould think he was just crazy anyway, but he didnt respond well to the subliminal messages. I kind of got a bit dissappointed after that and put plans on hold.. anthony sorry thought this was general discussion. 2 many windows open.

You guys speaking that Irish crap again :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: Why not ban you and EZ, OZ :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:

can you imagine the place without us

Not me. You mabey

No OZ, not now that I know EZ is smart and all this time I thought he was just a "SMART ARSE", you are right, I would have a hard time if both of your were banned. Even if EZ was banned I could still find him, plus DZ can find you easy for me OZ, then I can give you the ARSE WOOPING you deserve..... 8O 8O 8O I know where EZ lives, ask EZ if he knows about Highland Square, I am getting close to his house, just ask him OZ...... ez is really a smart guy, good coder too, that does not mean I am going to let up on picking on him, he ain't that special..... Some day EZ knows I will be kissing arse to get his help, yeah, he will use that against me, but I will not let on........ 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O

OZ Ballinadee

I also have edwins address, last name and I think a valid Phone no. Oh and yours.

Yeah, once you join here your life will always be xposed to the entire world, once we break Brigid our lives will be complete 8O  8O 8O It is sad that when you join a forum everything good and bad about you is known to the world. Who cares if we know so much about each other, that is what makes the forum fun. Everyone knows everything about Julia Roberts also, that has not stopped her from living a good life. BKZ, how were those eggs this morning?

Bridgid is being canny. That could require effort.

You may have to throw some of that DsatZ love on her, Oneill wrote a love poem at one time that won her heart. You will just have to work on her a bit, she is mostly a pushover

I would like to see that.

What was the subject again?

8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O YOU BRIGID, YOU 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O

Did you get the PM i sent you?

Is this a forum or did your ICQ attach itself to my browser? :? BTW, where y'all from? It seems to go without saying that you guys are drinking a bit too much coffee today... so am I come to think of it... RE: Bush vs. Kerry - (in case anyone actually gives a damn and bothers to read down this far in the posts) my vote is for Bush: (because): * It's not wise to jump ships midstream when we have active duty personnel in harms way and OFFICIALLY at war * Bush has been a lot more consistent in general than Kerry (IMO) - I'm sure someone can/will argue this point, but Kerry is infamous for being a bit hard to take on both sides of the spectrum (talk to his former Senate collegues, actual swift boat vets - not 527 groups, etc...) * Although Bush is not a keen intellectual, IMO he is trying very hard to do what's best for a country that is extremely insane to run at an executive level - I believe in his heart he is trying * Kerry has something strange about him... hard to specifically say what, but the guy is definitely a strange bird - not the type of guy I want as President (again IMOHO) - now, please continue your regularly scheduled programming... -

My vote is for kerry because 1 american troops are not in a war they are stuck policing a combat zone where they are not wanted. the UN would do a better job. 2 bush is an idiot.

I'm voting for Bush also. The "Bush is an idiot" argument is a bit too Dixie-Chick for me.

Like I said before, we are all allowed to attack Bush or Kerry on their positions and platforms. That is all fair game in this election. But members of the forum will not attack each other personally and we will hold no grudges long term against each other for our opinions. We will remain friends and business associates at the end of the day regardless of our views. RIGHT? RIGHT............I attacked Brigid the other day and had to remove my own post, so I know what I am talking about here. No attacking other members folks.......... 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O No one has done this yet, BK will be kind and remove the posts if he feels we are crossing the line, he is getting serious about the forum as he banned a member the other day. Nobody is better than the other member, or we should never feel that way about another member. RIGHT? RIGHT. Kidding is great, but attacking folks is another matter. My 2 cents, I am guilty of attacking others but only when they attack me first, BK is a great moderator, but he did ban someone the other day...

From what I've seen, politics is usually not something that people can remain calm about. I myself am no fan of politics at all. As far as I can tell, no politician has ever done anything that affected my life in a postive way. I'll be happy when the election is over.

..and to think I never even saw the attack post, Anthony.. good thing you spilled the beans! Please don't hate me because I'm beautiful.. LOL! As far as politics go, If people haven't haven't figured out that the world is not the same place it was in the 60's (or the 90's for that matter) I don't know what to tell them. The tech jobs that have been "offshored" as Kerry puts it, are jobs Americans don't want to do, or if they do they want high pay and benefits. Why not share the wealth with other developing nations? They also need to improve their conditions and spread global wealth. As far as the manufacturing jobs that have evaporated, same thing. It's a new economy, and companies are faced with having to reduce costs to their bottom line. Can you blame for them not wanting to spend a million dollars to renovate an 100 year old manufacturing company with no tax breaks, if they can rebuild or relocate it elsewhere for the same or less amount of money? I can't. Kerry won't be able to bring those jobs back even if he gets in office, just more broken promises from a democrat that has a snotty wife. :)

[quote:16c74da2e2="webmastery"]I'm voting for Bush also. The "Bush is an idiot" argument is a bit too Dixie-Chick for me.[/quote:16c74da2e2] Ok how about the fact that he has said more stupid things in his term than every other president combined. The latest last week or so. Our enemies will never stop looking for ways to hurt us, and neither will we. The rod up that mans ass has a rod up its ass. I liked clinton, all he did was fuck around, and he had a brain. Bush is making america the most hated country in history and will go down in history as the dumbest person to ever rule a country. His popularity in every country world wide is zero besides america. he lost a popularity contest with ossama bin ladin, launched a war based on non existant intelligence. [quote:16c74da2e2="Bush"]I want a war just like my dad[/quote:16c74da2e2] [quote:16c74da2e2="Bush"]"I don't want nations feeling like that they can bully ourselves and our allies. I want to have a ballistic defense system so that we can make the world more peaceful, and at the same time I want to reduce our own nuclear capacities to the level commiserate with keeping the peace."[/quote:16c74da2e2] [quote:16c74da2e2="bush"]"The war on terror involves Saddam Hussein because of the nature of Saddam Hussein, the history of Saddam Hussein, and his willingness to terrorize himself." - Grand Rapids, Mich., Jan. 29, 2003[/quote:16c74da2e2] [quote:16c74da2e2="bush"]"For every fatal shooting, there were roughly three non-fatal shootings. And, folks, this is unacceptable in America. It's just unacceptable. And we're going to do something about it."—Philadelphia, May 14, 2001[/quote:16c74da2e2] I rest my case. Kerry mightnt be perfect but he has to be better. taken a look at the US dollar lately kids, its worth less than the steam off my piss

How, in your opinion, is Kerry going to handle the weight of the world on his shoulders?

After giving a list of your opinions, you can hardly rest your case. Any person who is chronicled as much as the U.S President is bound to make many mis-cues while speaking. It's unavoidable. I don't think George Bush is the only reason Americans are hated around the world, and realistically, it doesn't matter all that much whether we're beloved or not. All the countries of the world still have to do business with us. The U.S. felt very threatened by the events of 9/11 and the events that came afterwards were in reaction to it. How come no one runs around wondering if "The Irish" are loved everywhere they travel. I bet they aren't. And how excited people get when "The Germans" or the "The English" are coming over. When you think of the people of a country you think of all the people you met from there, etc, and not just the President. If people hate Americans because they hate George Bush, then those people are missing the point.

With good grammar and sense. As long as he dosnt deside to declare war on any more countries oil prices should level off and the dollar will gain strength. there is a goverment there for that reason. Bush never listened to anyone who he didnt appoint himself or share the same political affiliation. I dont think kerry will do that.

Actually the Irish are very well liked around the world. same with canadians and new zealanders. we can go anywhere without worrying about much. the only thing an irish person going around the middle east/europe is recomedned to do is put something irish on like a t-shirt so we are not mistaken for american or english. People will hate americans because the majority voted for bush. especially if they do it twice. as for people having to do business with america. why do you think your dollar is going downhill. world investors saying screw that im not investing in us$ as for people being chronicled as much as bush. I have seen live press feeds where he makes a birk out of himself regularly. I could probably list about 500 bushisms they even have a phrase for it now. the only reason most americans vote for bush is because he spends so much on advertising or because of social expectations. For god sake step back, get out and take a look from the rest of the worlds perspective. trust me.

*sits back and listens in the corner*

Next thing you know OZ, DZ will be your boss financing your films. 8O

I wouldnt invest in the film industry, sorry. well mabey porn. there is a much higher return on, IT, Arms, food&driink and financial services. Thats where my money is going.

the dollar isn't doing that bad and plenty of people invest in the u.s. an irishman in bagdhad would get his arse shot off i reckon.

Compared to stirling or euro or australian or newzealnd dollar or most other currency, not really. and oil prices are going up more than they have in a long time. point 2 I guess youve never seen holiday in the axis of evil.

I'm still voting for Bush. <EOM>

I hope you dont regret it. Ps i like the new avitar

You gota watch treating Brigid mean DZ, BK is going to make her a moderator one day and payback is a bitch, but Brigid is an Angel

Thanks for the compliment, Darksat. The color scheme reminded me of all the other dark avatars here. Anthony is next in line to switch up the avatar!

You better watch DZ Brigid, he is trying to be sweet on you so when you are a moderator you will not erase his silly posts 8O 8O 8O 8O Talk about censorship, DZ none of your Anti-Bush stuff would last long with Brigid removing your posts 8O 8O       We will find a way to get her back DZ, I know where she lives 8O 8O

Silly posts. could be worse i could compose some sort of long winded sitting on the fence speach [u:66475a6869]every[/u:66475a6869] time i post. Darksat sticks tongue out at anthony. you know where she lives. do you know what she works at? A/S/L

I don't sit on the fence DZ, I am not for Bush and Cheney in any wise. Nixon boy's is all they are, Cheney is just stealing money, you should see the commercials in the states about the Hallibuton Corporation stealing money from the taxpayers. I do not pick parties but leaders, I do not like the criminals running the country as they are just out to enrich themselves and cound not care less about the people, just a line of BS to make them think they are safe while stealing the gold. Same story since Nixon and Kissinger fixed the oil markets in 1973 with the help of their friends in Saudi Arabia. When you take in 80 Billion or so a month in oil sales you know where the Republicans are, right there with the Saudi's. Was MM wrong in his movie, no, this has been going on since 1973, it is about oil money man, wake up folks, that is all the war is about, OIL MONEY....BP. BP. BP. SHELL, SHELL, SHELL

I ment you always try and moderate the threads and speak very softly. I tend to get a bit more passionate about things.

Yes DZ, but this is a chat forum and not a battlefield with sword fights going on. Nothing wrong with free speech and stating opinions but sometimes you have to use some tact so you do not offend the other members. I have had very strong opinions on a lot of stuff, but even when you are right, if you piss people off too much they tend to hate you and tune you out. There is an old saying, never antagonize those whom you are trying to persuade. So sometimes you are better off to use tact, try to teach, then wait, folks are smart in general, if you present a good case, in time they will see your point. What is the old saying, you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink. Don't make yourself look like an arse when you are presenting your case or folks will not take you serious in future discussions. 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O     8O 8O 8O 8O 8O

[quote:3d8c00fd5f="anthonycea"]Yes DZ, but this is a chat forum and not a battlefield with sword fights going on.[/quote:3d8c00fd5f] Its been to long since i have had a good swordfight. probably why im getting a bit wound up. will fix that over the weekend though. [quote:3d8c00fd5f="anthonycea"] folks are smart in general,[/quote:3d8c00fd5f] not saying anything.

I used to think like you, but people are smarter than we give them credit for many times. You must know that some folks never say a word but sit back and watch the rest of us, taking in knowledge without saying a word. Many times they are the smartest and learn the most, it has been said, you learn more with your ears than with your mouth. 8O 8O 8O 8O

Thats why i always give people the benifit of the doubt. I think people can be very smart when they want but are normally useless when it comes to putting it into practice and have a capacity to be very stupid and ignorant when they feel like. Also you cant say most people are smart as smart and dumb are split along an average. Half are smarter than average and half are dumber than average.

Have you ever heard about the Billionaire that looked like a street hobo, he dresses like a bum, but he is very rich. You just do not know in many cases who you are dealing with, Sam Walton the founder of Wal-Mart a multi-billionaire used to drive around in an old pickup truck. So don't judge based on the outside, you just sell yourself short many times and could lose valuable friends and contacts that way. Some very powerful folks seem like the biggest nuts sometime, you have no way of knowing any better in some cases. Respect all, it will get you much further in life. If folks like you, they will pull for you and try to help you.

The sentiment is appreciated, thanks if you got to know me in person you would realise I know more than my fair share of the angles. Quite a lot of street hobos make a fair bit of money. I was aware of this and everything else you said. I am a student of life, a quick study and have had a lot more than my fair share of life experience. Thanks for looking out for me though. Its appreciated. 8)

The economy and the war in Iraq are both disasters. Are you folks going to sit back and suffer more debt and loss of lives to enrich Houston Oil Men (Nixon Boys). Get off your arses and vote against every Republican in site. The Republican party is the root of every ill that this country is suffering from. Nixon was the example for the present adminstration. A few folks know this, John Edwards is not afraid to speak out against the thieves from Houston. http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&ncid=1963&e=6&u=/ap/20040914/ap_on_el_pr/edwards_3

democrats suck. im voting for bush.

[quote:eef7fa14b1="edwin"]democrats suck. im voting for bush.[/quote:eef7fa14b1] Its times like this that make me wonder about you.

I agree with Edwin. Bush will get my vote. (But you already know that) It isn't about who is a republican or a democrat anymore. It is about who can best lead the country. I'm sorry if I don't trust that John Kerry can make a decision and stick to it. It isn't about jobs. I see "Now hiring" signs everywhere I go. Never a shortage of folks eating out, people driving new cars, shopping. I don't see this great depressed economy everyone is speaking of. I have friends and family that work in factories and HAVEN"T been laid off, in fact they are working overtime. How will one man alone reserect the manufacturing jobs that are gone? Truth is he can't. The president isn't "job creator". He can do things to stimulate the economy, but he can't make a company invest dollars into unprofitable businesses. Why should he? We are now almost to the midpoint of the 2000's. Business is different now, it isn't the same as the 1900's..

Confirming what DZ says, EZ is off the deep edge, he has those rose colored glasses on, remember :?: What EvilEdwin knows not is that one manufacturing job provides 25-30 support jobs added to the economy ( constuction jobs, service jobs, truck drivers, food stores, bars). http://www.managingautomation.com/maonline/magazine/read.jspx?id=1179655 America and Cleveland and Akron where Edwin lives was built on manufacturing. Since tech jobs and manufacturing jobs are going offshore the economy will continue to drift downward. The Republicans are thieves always have been, are stealing now and will continue to sack the economy and the taxpayers sinking the country into the largest deficit in the history of the world. That is E & B's solution, more depression and war profits for Bush and the rest of the Nixon gang. And E & B will support that crap. How unAmerican. 8O 8O 8O 8O

The economy would not be in the shape it is in if it were not for the rich stealing and lying to the citizens. Enron, Halliburton and all the rest of the Oil/Military theives running us all in to the ground. http://la.indymedia.org/news/2004/01/99614.php Read the above about your Nixon boys, then come back and defend your positions

..Cleveland is also one of the poorest cities, Anthony. There is still a 4.5 million dollar shopping mall being built to open before Christmas. Lots of jobs being added there. Factory jobs are out of favor, but not out of it. I used to work in one, and it was crap. Sure the money was good, but it hardly challenged your mind and wasn't that great. A lot of people that I know work in a factory. None of them have been out of work, and the companies they work for are always hiring. Maybe it just depends on the sector they manufacture for? You can always start your own business. A trailer and lawn mower could easily put someone in business. Most people just don't want this kind of responsibility. It is easier to blame someone or a company for your lack of employment, thats all. Not meaning to sound rough, but no man should be starving if he owns 500 internet properties...strap on your thinking cap!!

So what you are saying is that you defend the war profits that the Nixon boys (Hallibuton/Houston Oil men) are stealing from the American people. You also are saying that we should not blame these leaders for looting the taxpayers money for their own benefit. What you are defending are men like Ken Lay who is a friend of the Bush family who stole Billions of dollars and ruined the California economy by extorting money out of those folks and all of us for natural gas. What you are saying is that these thieves are above the law, the same thing they think about themselves as they rob the American people of everything they hold dear. If your mother lost her retirement like a lot of the folks who worked at Enron did, you certainly would not continue defending criminals and voting for them also.

baloney john kerry is a billionaire too. grow up!

Thats what you will be eating the rest of your life for supporting the criminal Republican party.

That stuff happened a long time ago. What about the future?

Jesse Livermore still made money during the great depression. Even though the whole economy was wrecked.

So did the first Gulf War that Senior fucked up, now Junior is finishing the job along with the country. Now the nation is paying 1,000 fold for a war fought that we thought we won. The Bush's will go down in history as the biggest fools ever to run this country. Worse than Richard Nixon, the biggest Republican criminal ever. But you guys will vote for the blunders of the Bush's again, maybe they can steal the election again, they sure do not need the support of the American people

How has President Bush negatively affected you on a personal basis? What will John Kerry do for you personally?

I will not have to look at Nixon boys screwing the citizens in a oil conspiracy any longer.

The question is how Bush and his Dad have permanently damaged the integrity of the United States of America. http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20040915/ap_on_re_us/detainee_records_1

i think McAleese will get my vote for President

[quote:ec3f6c2e24="Brigid"]How has President Bush negatively affected you on a personal basis? [/quote:ec3f6c2e24] Well i met a very nice iraqi in new zealand who i was very friendly with and his uncle got killed in iraq during all the strife, while i was there. Ever been in a situation where you REALLY dont know what to say to someone. some of those US aircraft refulled in ireland, made me feel kinda shitty. how would it have made you feel.

this political analysis is a joke. the election is in about six weeks. bush leads the polls by 11 point. 4 more years is coming.

Hopefully someone will send him a bag of pretzels

I disagree.

who is the leader of ireland? oh yeah, who cares? :P

[quote:2cda66932b="edwin"]who is the leader of ireland? oh yeah, who cares? :P[/quote:2cda66932b] I dont think i can emphasise how little that comment affected me. Ask oneill, he will probably know. Yes I dont care, either, I think Its Bertie.

Imagine the unmitigated rudeness of these foreigners. I could not imagine sitting around a bunch of Europeans offering unsolicited political opinions all day. And Anthonycea, you need to put down the mushrooms, lock away your Robert Anton Wilson books, your "Rule by Secrecy" conspiracies and get a grip on reality. George Bush is not the reason you don't make money. Your business model needs updating to modern times as does your political views. We're living in new times and you need to get with the program.

[quote:321616085f="Brigid"]I disagree.[/quote:321616085f] Yeah but if your not living in america you will be having the mother of all parties.

Whatever. *edited by me* I've got money make today.

Why argue with rude people who've been told 100 times that we disagree, and most importantly this is a webmaster board, not a political BBS.

Unfortunately bush is affecting more than just america, his policies affect the entire world, sorry if I came on a bit strong but its something I feel strongly about. I dont think this thread is going to change that though and I dont want it to cause dissent so I will try to refrain from flaming bush like that again.

You guys are the ones that need to catch up with reality. Bush and the Republicans stole the election, Edwin can not prove his silly poll of an 11% lead. Enron is a scam pulled off by Bush family friends as was the savings and loan scandals of the late 80's. You folks are the ones that need to wake up and face reality. This economy and this nation has been destroyed by the Halliburton war. There will be no 4 more years, that was a chant at the Republican convention, the American people will defeat Bush Big Time. John Kerry is the future. John Edwards is the future. Bush and his Daddy must go.

I guess we'll all find out in November. Good luck to all..

DZ, BK should pull your comment and Brigid's in response to it, it is against the law to make comments like that in this country. So for your sake, Brigid's and the forum, I hope BK would remove those comments. Do not be offended, it is for your own good, try to control yourself. Free speech is great and legal, but we can not break the law on the forum.

They can edit their own comments. The bottom line is this: I'm not into politics. I don't even vote. I think anyone who wastes 10 minutes of their lives paying attention to these b.s artists is mis-lead. I'm a small business man. I create my own job. I've lived this was for 15 years. I don't rely on the government for help or direction. And I certainly don't rely on them for business.

Well, Brigid did, DZ and BK, can you edit your comments out, they really are not good for the forum or yourselves.

I already took care of business. Thanks for the tip.

Most people vote for a political party because their parents did. How sad is that?

you could put religion or nationalism into the same boat. ^Ps done 2

Thanks for picking up the trash off the floor folks, nothing wrong with opinions and free speech, that is all lawful, but be careful not to damage yourself or the forum. Thank you. Opinions in a political season are fair game, please refrain from attacking fellow members personally, we would like to remain friends after we are done with arguments. The following search is one with many articles in it that will interest those in North Ohio. You folks need to look at this and think, if your family and region and friends are not important to you, you need to look in the mirror. http://vivisimo.com/search?v%3Asources=Web&query=ohio+manufacturing+job+losses&x=56&y=9

Edwin, you should do some research, I am shocked at your position. For someone from Akron to think like you do is a total shock to me. 8O 8O Manufacturing built the city of Akron into the fastest growing city in the world in 1920. The Rubber Capital of the world is now the capital of what Edwin, Welfare :?: http://www.ceogc.org/research/ Cleveland has always been a great manufacturing city, look at the above report folks and get involved in turning these great cities and region around. Quit sitting on your hands 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O

Manufacturing is dead. It's never coming bank. Most people in Cleveland work at banks and insurance companies. You're 25 years out of date. Americans don't want to work in factories. This is a new era.

eh did i mis something! Manufacturing Dead? I don't think so

I will hold BK down, you spank him Oneill, he deserves it    BK, if you think that way you might just move to China because banks will not have any assets in them if we do not get manufacturing back. Manufacturing is greatly determined by subsidies, free trade laws, currency valuations and proximity to major markets. Why are we able to engage in military manufacturing in America? Because of national security laws. Most of the defense manufacturing must have a high percentage of American made or assembled content. Many industries in the far east have been developed because of heavy subsidies of national governments. Taiwan, China, Korea and Japan have for years engaged this practice to build their market shares in important industry sectors. Duties must be increased on goods manufactured and unfairly subsidized by these nations. This is a function of a malfunctioning Washington, this government is failing the American people. The DAMMED Republicans are a failure, PERIOD. Just looking out for their own scams. They could not care less for the working man or providing jobs and benefits, infact Bush will cut real wages and benefits. 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O     8O 8O 8O 8O 8O

Manufacturing isn't dead in Cleveland, either. There's a Ford and a GM plant nearby. GM actually hired 600 workers a few months ago. But manufacturing is only a small part of the local economy anymore. The trend towards manufacturing jobs going to other countries has been going on since the 1970s. This trend is not reversible. It costs too much money for payroll and pension benefits to hire American labor.

bush is winning this poll!

You will both be defeated EZ, you need to wake up and smell the coffee Edwin 8O

The only thing that Bush will win is a drinking contest. Instead of an election we should have Bush and Kerry have a spelling bee. I wonder who would win? Boulder City NV Real Estate | Las Vegas Retirement Communities | Las Vegas Golf Homes | Dog adoption

winning a spelling bee is no great accomplishment!

How true, Edwin is our best speller here at Web Mastery, look what it has got him :?:

[quote:1e13972b3f="edwin"]winning a spelling bee is no great accomplishment![/quote:1e13972b3f] Dont say that, onell would be crushed.
