for sure its a good idea. many people would purchase valuable text links.
I agree with Edwin... You definantly should never make promises.. the words on your site arn't to bad.. and keep to pretty generic.. just NEVER EVER mention an actual search engine name with the words improve ranking... Make sure you put into a Terms and Conditions page that you do NOT guarantee any improvement... blahblahblah.. cover your a** ...... As for the whole concept... I think its an excellent idea... but here are my suggestions/questions...Some of these questions you should put into a faq because they are going to be standard... Q1: Is it basically along the lines of PPC or Banner Advertising w/o the graphics? or something like: http://www.txtswap.com ... Q2: You say it could cost XYZ... what kind of guarantee on the quality of clicks are they going to get? Q3: You aren't going to be like a "link farm" are you? Because that could damage your ratings, and everyone on your pages... Google and places like that are dissallowing those kind of links (ie: if they see a certain number of places all coming from the same site they are going to ignore it..) at least thats what I heard... Suggestion: Be generous at first, to the best of your ability... As it doesn't seem you know of a lot of competitors finding out a comparable price might be difficult.. You say you want to target people who don't mind paying XYZ a month... but keep the following in mind... A. You are very new, and don't have a lot of "guaranteed or proven" results to show them as a reasoning behind the cost... B. The people who are going to NEED your services are people who may not be able to afford a lot at first... Consider maybe an introductory price or something along those lines.... First 3 months ...$XYZ.00 after that.. charge them... when they have Results... Just a couple suggestions to start.... Andrea
I'll add my voice to the chorus. Be careful how you sell the links and it could be a nice site for a lot of people. Good luck.
never overpromise. if there is a chance that you can't deliver what you promise, you'll have some very unhappy "clients"
I agree with Feathers...the internet is way to dynamic...at any moment it will change. :(
