affiliate traffic. you make a page, rank it high in the search engine. you place links to the main program page and get paid when someone buys. the more tuned the landing page is to the sponsor page, the higher the conversion rate.
what about when the URL changes. i dont trust sites like that myself.
the url doesnt need to change. these are static pages. i guess you could call them "doorway pages"
On a different server.
I think content is king. The more content you have the better off you are.
Do you think you should dedicate an entire site or just pages?
the best thing in the world is a doorway site. about 10 pages or so. put about us, contact and 8 pages of decent content. really take a few minutes to write the pages. work in as many 3-4 letter phrases as you can. use synonyms. make the page linguistically rich. then point these sites at the main page. the main pages should be on the same topic but not exact. and don't forget the last step. make sure to setup link exchanges for these sites. recip or one way, doesn't really matter. make sure they have ample links to them to determine the theme. then use almost exact, but slightly diverse anchor text to point to the central site. this site will be considered the authority site. only link out from the site sparingly, if at all. to google it will appear that this site is being deferred to by the satellites sites, boosting its authority status. this is similar to what my boy bigrob was talking about. he didn't go to hell for nothin.
