Flash loading screen

here you go: this is a totally excellent tutorial on the subject: http://www.w3schools.com/flash/default.asp hope this helps :)

Personally, I recommend that you forget Flash. The less Flash websites out there, the better, IMHO.

Hello Transform! Nice to meet you. I feel the same about flash as edwin. The less the better. Most internet users are still on slow loading dial-up modems, and if you are kicking off a new website, this might be a "turn-off" for potential eyeballs. Instead of waiting to load, they might just hit "stop" and click off of your page.. Just my thoughts..

I agree flash tends to be over used... HOWEVER... a little flash here and there never hurt noone... and for the type of site it sounds like you're doing Transform... I believe it will mix well... just make sure to keep it fast and quick.. nothing to fancy...

Flash isn't bad if it adds flavor to the website and doesn't slow down performance of the site overall. If you are planning on adding this as an intro, you might want to use the option to "skip" the intro, as some people make have narrow band connections..

You might want to try Swish if you're going for a flash usage. It's easy to learn and doesn't cost a ton.

how easy is it too use? im a complete noob when it comes to flash

I would have to agree that Swish is the easiest...and probably your least expensive way to go... http://www.w3schools.com/flash/default.asp For Swish: http://www.swishzone.com/

Pleased to meet you Transform! :D I am not a big fan of flash for a front page myself. I do a lot of surfing some front pages with flash are done very nice, quick load time, others are way to long and I am one of those that click stop and just go to another site. Good luck with your new website! Best Wishes, Giselle

Transform those two websites are pretty informative. A big thank you to Edwin and Fpworld for posting the urls, it surely helped me and I am thinking of purchasing that Swish program myself. Looks like it would be real easy to use and not to costly. I agree a little flash here and there doesn't hurt! Best Wishes, Giselle

You're welcome Giselle... Glad it helps!! :)
