I agree, to do exactly what you describe (capture all your outgoing emails and attachments so others can view and download them) is potentially very complex and probably overkill. Why not instead use something called a "Blog" (short for "weblog") that is really a simplified website journal application that allows you to easily write and/or attach files on a daily basis. Instead of having the original content supplied from your e-mails, simply write a special daily or otherwise frequent blog entry that you supply the information you wanted to share with your friends and attach any files there as well. Does that alternative satisfy your objective?
