i don't like the auction idea. too corny and hyped up.

It may be "90's" but unfortunantly people think of auctions as the way to buy so many different things... Sales shoot up if you have an auction in ebay.. *shrug* Noone will ever understand the dynamics of buyers minds... and besides.. can you imagine what they will get for an auction war ??? *sigh* The numbers make me want to faint!!
i can honestly say i don't think i've ever used Ebay to buy anything. The few times I've visited a lot of auctions on [b:767bd5ae94]EBAY[/b:767bd5ae94] look like they are closing without a click!
They do that... you have to have something spectacular to be able to sell on Ebay.... a lot of companies use it for "promotion".... Template companies will say ... Get this clearance template for xyz... or use the "buy now at reserved" (or whatever that button says) .... and then convientiently has a link to their own site where you can find the bigger and better templates... *shrug* I don't personally know if it actually works... but too many companies say it does for it to not work at least a little..
No, that is a bad idea.
Google is hype. They have a lot of competition. What happens if Yahoo and AOL dump them as a search provider right before the IPO? Right in the crapper then. Search companies come and go. I'm glad I didn't buy Altavista stock at the height of their power.

It is definately a bold move by Google.
