what is wrong with this code .......

<A HREF="yoursubpage.htm">this is a pain in the backside !</A> Your table is broke, fix this <td width='20%'height='50%' to this <td width='20%'height='50%'> I am no pro but it should be ok now.

Thankyou very much for your reply, I now realise the mistake, have made the correction you suggested and it works fine now. Can you tell me where within this instruction I can put alignment info to get the link to appar central and at the top of this cell. - is there a rule as to in which part of the html that alignment commands can be placed ? - is it right after (and within) the tag that defines the table cell dimension ? Thanks for your time ! - Paul

<td width='20%'height='50%' align="center"><a href="this pain is a pain in the backside !"</a></td> or you can do it height='50%' height='50%' as long as the quote tags are in there they dont have to be in a specific order, you can also use " or' to hold info eg height='50%' or height="50%" or even height=50% with no tags, but very very old browsers eg 5 years plus dont like that you cant use different tags on the same elements though , eg height="50%' is wrong you can also use valign="top" or bottom or middle for vertial alignment of a table cell inside a <td> eg <td width='20%'height='50%' align="center" valign="top"><a href="this pain is a pain in the backside !"</a></td>
