Thanks again. I have a dude. Can I host web sites without other company, i dont know may be buying a server?. what do i have to do? I want to start a company hosting sites.
Hi there. If you don't know much about servers, I might advise you to start off as a reseller for another company. Starting out fresh in an industry you don't know anything about may cause some technical issues for your customers down the road. Webhosting is also very competitive .. You will be going against some well known webhosts like yahoo. If you really have your heart set, check out the websites for sale section.. I think I remember seeing someone selling a webhosting website. Anyhow.. good luck!
A 2meg connection and a P4 machines with linux, to start off with.

I have Windows XP. Can i start with this, or may be with Windows server 2003??? or is better linux??? What do you recomend me? Thanks J. Manuel
start with a reseller package that way you cant go wrong. a small investment up front. when demand is higher upgrade to a dedicated server.
Linus is better, if its a HT P4 it would do at a pinch for a few accounts to start off with.
Thanks I will start reselling. Thanks alot for your help Jose Manuel
what system configuration did you get?
Well use LINUX... and some ISPS also allow you to use your internet connection to have a server hosted on your current internet connection (if high speed) in most cases you could get it upgraded for 60 bucks a month and just have your own web server at your house. Thats currently what i do with my dedicated T1 line. I had used my old charter (cable) connection but that used most of my bandwidth. Any more info. email me kalmli@gmail.com Ans ill be glad to help ya out :)
