hey there [quote:625c240e8a]now, my question is.. what is the best language to use in order to create a good, interesting, and fantastic website?[/quote:625c240e8a]You will need to have a good knowledge of html and a good knowledge of various programs/software including graphic software. You get software that generate html code but personally I prefer doing it through notepad. [quote:625c240e8a]what is the difference, pro, and contra of using HTML, ASP, PHP, and other languages? [/quote:625c240e8a] html is a langauge the browser can execute...ie html is what is used to develope websites. asp and php languages etc are used to perform tasks a browser couldnt. IE they are server-side languages and are executed by the server not the browser. Server-side languages are used when data is needed to be correctly handled. I taught myself php its an easy language, asp i've heard isn't. [quote:625c240e8a]which one is a better idea? using a notepad to key in the code manually, or using the web builder software such as frontpage, dreamweaver, etc... [/quote:625c240e8a] If you are aware of all elements of building a site then i do think the most solid code would be create through notepad. But at the end of the day I do think that using the web builder software will move any web developers level higher. [quote:625c240e8a]is there any predefined template for forum? because i have seen many design of forums which are similar with the one here.
