I have used the example of google.com to www.google.com and the web host technicians don't seem to understand what I mean, let alone how to do it. The A Pointer,.. what exactly is that? Thank you. The A record for the root domain is: 205.158.183.98 The A record for the www. subdomain is: 205.158.183.98 That is generally the default. The hosting company should have no problem understanding that whatsoever. A 205.158.183.98 MX 1 mail.web-mastery.net. $ORIGIN web-mastery.net. www A 205.158.183.98 That is a snippet that shows how it looks.
