we actually announce the updates after the fact. the last three have been almost on a schedule.
they have occured once a month on or around the 4th week of the month in august, september, and october.
the way things have been working is like this:
google finds your link in august, nothing shows.
they spider you again and see the backlink in september and you may or not may show. for sure it will be all counter by october.
it is safe to say it takes around 60 days for pagerank and backlinks to closely resemble reality.
