Hi Rob in not sure if that was what the problem was but i tried cutting the pics out then reinserting them and that seemed to work. I also had a link pasted in the box which says about base location url im not sure exactly what that is but u removed it anyway and everything seems fine now. In not an expert at web page design and my site is far from perfect but its just a hobby for me and i like getting visitors to my site if it gives them enjoyment then thats great. My site is mainly about the 80s group the Thompson Twins and i made the website for fans. My brother knows a lot more about computers than me and it was him that showed my how to make my own site in the first place in return for scanning some pics for him. I have submitted my site to google in the past. One time i decided to try it out to see how well it was doing and how easy it would be for other twins fans to find. I searched for the Thompson Twins and to my suprise my site came first or second on the list i had thought that that was pretty good now its at around number 5. I donr mind as long as its on the first page of results. Thanks for your help if you would like to see my site my address is. http://homepage.ntlworld.com/peter.finnegan/ Again thanks a lot Peter.
Hi Peter, I checked out the site. Very nice. Everything appears to be working just fine on there. I was a teenager in the 80's so I remember the Thompson Twins from my youth :) Talk to you later, Rob :D
from wat i understand for the post it front page . thought front page i do use sumtimes i never use it for linking pics . there is a problem with the rooting of the said pics . this also happens with dreamweaver sumtimes . a quike solution for this is to upload the pics on to the server and root (url)them from the server . This would cut out the bad rooting for both dream weaver and front page . hope it helps
Guest - Are your files in a web? or a folder? ... When you edit files in a folder, you may end up using absolute links as opposed to relative links... Using two programs can can sometimes confuse the issue... If you are going to use composer do the "open with" from FrontPage and it will help a little... but when you edit with frontpage make sure you create a web and edit in the web, this will help you with the images, as FrontPage will require you to save the images into the web and not create "direct harddrive links" for images... That is my best guess... Unfortunantly when dealing with Microsoft.. its always a "best guess"
