Unfortunately I can't hear this guy speak but it feels like he's too loud :) He rose up some good points but hey, I never heard about someone being prosecuted for discussing AdSense. WE have entire section on the forum at web-mastery about AdWords and AdSense and I don't think Tom had any problems. Besides, who reads that agreement anyways :) Andrey
Most don't read the TOS would be my guess. I'm sure there are some amazing things in it, and you have no idea of what you are actually agreeing to. Especially with a clause that gives them the right to change them at any time. Even though it is standard fare in about just about any agreement, it means they could pull the rug out from underneath you at any time. Relying solely on one SE or Vendor is a big problem. Especially if it is the only way you make money..
Changing TOS without notice is standard in any TOS Agreement... noone ever reads them because 9x out of 10 they all state the same exact thing... Unfortunantly companies count on that and put whatever works best for them inside... Company nature... protect you(company) interest first....
Yep it is the norm. As referenced in another thread, only the paranoid survive. If google has left me behind, so be it. I will carry on. Life can't stop because google did some changes. I won't be roped into putting money behind their company name.
