The email ended, if you have any questions please reply to this email. I replied. That was 48 hours ago and of course no response. They also mentioned one domain by name. It was the smallest of the three and did not contribute much traffic. I am stunned that they keep all of the money and not only the traffic from the violating domain. I can't believe the heavy handedness of the whole deal. Off with my head!
Searchey PM'ed me about this earlier and that's when I decided to pull the ads off this site. I see AdSense running on many forums and/or blogs where user input is allowed. IMHO, this is a pretty bad idea considering that AdSense has a no questions asked One Strike and You're Dead Forever policy. I can't find any violations on here, but I can see a scenario where it may be an issue. Some loser comes in a forum and spams a porn site. Googlebot comes rolling around and displays the "wrong ad" and the robotic decision is to lock you down immediatedly and kill all of you domains. That doesn't leave any room for "an honest mistake" that will involve a human editiing decision.
Oh Man... I wont be putting them up on my site.... Let me do some talking to a few of my business lawyer clients... I'm laying odds Searchey that what they did is a violation of contract law... give me a few days... I don't think they can do that...
I find it hard to believe that they would do something like that. What happened with the ads after they booted you Searchey? Did they automatically shift to PSA's or did they stop displaying altogether? Come up with an error of some sort?
This is bulls***. I still stand by my idea that Google is not going be around for long. Everything about them went bad. We started talking about new marketing ideas in another forum. I encourage everyone to participate. Andrey
i'll discuss... it will be a while before they go down... they are too big right now... eventually they will fall if they keep up this.. but I wouldn't hold my breath right now
True, true... But...sometimes big companies fall faster then you would ever expected :o
Searchey.. Very sorry to hear of that happening to you. I have have been using them for a a month or two and have done OK. I do have to agree with everyone here that it is never a bad idea to have multiple streams of revenue, so if one suddenly takes a "hit" you have some other way of making money..
Here's the worst part to me: Who or what is guilty and of what? Is it me who is guilty? So as a webmaster can I ever put a site in AdSense again? Are the websites guilty. Why punish the website that didn't have the bad ads on it? Can it ever recover? What if I sold the site to someone. Could they use AdSense? NO! It is banned. Without appeal! Man what country am I living in and I must have been nuts to agree to that deal.
This thread really made me think about running them on my forums, and I decided to remove them from there. You never know what else someone will say, and I don't want to get booted because of something someone else says.. Thanks for the heads-up Tom and Searchey.
wow! sorry to learn of your troubles searchey. definitely take them off forums unless pre-moderated! i don't know the answers to those questions searchey. i imagine you and the domains and everything are all banned for as long as you all shall live so help me god! that is crazy stuff and im glad i never got in this one now!
Searchey I am sorry to hear you were ground usunder by the boots of the Google regime. Remain strong. Keep your dignity. And move on. At least you found out early on that they don't pay. Before you quit your day job.
Searchey... I talked with a couple people who know a lot about labor laws, etc... They are pretty sure that if you go to The Department of Labor, they will be able to direct you to the correct place (Probably the FTC (federal trade commission) and/or Civil Court) They owe you money for services rendered.. Unless that entire amount was made thru a severe contract violation they can not refuse to pay you. Even if it was .. its a bit iffy on them not paying then as well.. DOL takes that VERY seriously.. technically anyone using adsense is considered an independant contractor... so I say contact them pretty quick... or talk with a class action lawyer... You are owed for the work you've done, and they cannot not pay... They think they can get away with that because most people think .. "Oh they are too big.. " or they don't know the law... but they truly can't...
Small update: after 72 hours they sent an email saying they are investigating. I have no idea what that is supposed to mean and I'm pretty sure the next email will be much like most challenges in the NFL: "After further review, the play on the field stands".
Keep us posted on what happens Searchey. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you :?
We all will  Andrey
After that one email about a review, they never followed up again. I'm washing my hands of this whole sordid business. I'm glad I learned before I got too involved.
Amen, that lack of effort on their part speaks volume.
Here's an update. After getting the letter about them reviewing the case, I never heard another word from Google. Wait. That is not true. I actually got a check for them for the first month. It was issued AFTER they kicked me out. I also got a Christmas card from them, so that was very nice.
hey .. at least they sent you a check
cash the check and toss the card out. and scratch them off your christmas list :P
Today I got the second check! How weird is that? They terminated me and sent me almost all the money so far :) I'm going to cash this check too, and then send them an email asking how my review is going!
That is wild. I'm glad that you got paid. I logged into my account, and it said they issued a check mid December, but I haven't saw it to date.. I sent an Email to them, so I'll have to see what happens..
Maybe they read the forum and knew how bad off they were .. yeah.. thats it!... Seriously .. Im glad they took care of you Searchey.. and Feathers.. because of the holiday, they may have issued the check but you probably wont get it till this coming week.. with all the holidays and stuff.... it probably got "lost" in the mail room till people got over the holiday excitement...
they paid the checks because they're screwed up!
Yepper.. Must have been the holidays after all. I got my first payment today, so that was pretty cool. Abit of change to tuck away for a rainy day!
well today is january! are they sending you a 1099 for 2003 even though you're cashing your first check in 2004?
I just read this thread for the first time o.o it's very...disturbing. I'm just glad you got paid! All this time I just thought google was big and stupid...not just mean. wow. Sounds like you still did well! 700 bucks :-D *eyes glisten @ thought*
UPDATE: Okay. I finally sent them an email asking for a status a few days ago. I got a reply within an hour that they were still investigating, and in the meantime I could put the Ads back on my page! The account interface works again! What the heck?
Sounds like you're back in the fold. Did they offer any kind of explantion, by chance?
I have been in the same Scenario Searchey!!!!!!! I had around $800, my website has around 77,000 page-view per day. I was generating $40--$60 per day from the adsense program. I tried to login and i got the same msg you got, "account rejected, check mail". i checked the email msg, they mentioned that my account is disabled because of "invalid clicks", although i have never encouraged my visitors to click on their banner, and i have never used a script to generate false clicks!!! I contacted them, they replied : we have reconfirmed that you have invalid clicks and we can't give you information about them. When i read the e-mail i was wondering, at first.. i thought it was some one who hates me so bad and knows about this fraud-clicks business and kept on clicking or generated a script to do so. then i checked the internet and i have found that many webmasters had the same problem! it seems that they will pay you as long as you generate a medium revenue, perhaps $200 per month? I really don't know. But i am truely Shocked. I have always appreciated them. but not any more, i have removed all other banners and popups just to put the adsense text links, and this is what i get ? Whats really wierd is.. in their program policies or TOS, they mentioned that false clicks ARE not counted, so why would one even try to generate them? Another issue, this termination happend after 2 days of changing my account settings to send the cheque from the states to Kuwait. related ? dunno. But i'm truely pissed at google
sorry to hear the bad news. it might just be a gliche of some sort. write a reply email to them at that address and tell them you have no idea what's happening and you should think they should re-consider!
I have done that, they sent me back a stupid message which didn't answer my questions and contained almost the same content of the previous one. Then i asked them to atleast send me the -not-false-clicks- revenue, and they said : we've suspended ur account and we have to return all the fees to the advertisers. crap
So far you've spoken to a bot only. At some point a human will read your request. Their policy seems to be to shut things off and then have a human check later. They did end up accepting Searchey back in later, but they never told him why. I think they remain purposely vague in their emails. I know how you're feeling right now. The money was coming in good and they cut it off like that! Doesn't feel good. But you should fight it. Send them your log files. Tell them you didn't de-fraud them, nor would you and make them prove it.
Sorry about what happened to you. Please keep us posted on the outcome. This reports are somewhat disturbing. If you have too much of your income tied up in Google AdSense, I can see this as being a stressful thing. Don't put all your eggs in one basket.
That is nothing new, why do you think Google posted 60% profit margins? Remember that a common criminal has a 100% profit margin since he pays nothing for what he steals. Google comes close to this margin, I think you know how... You are not the only one they ripped off to get those profit margins. Look at the following, they also take webmasters out of the SERP's if they don't like your CTR on ADSENSE.. Google sold out a long time ago, The Florida Update was the ADSENSE update, Google redirects traffic to their partners. That is why the results suck, it is called the ADSENSE Redirection ALGO -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I had a site which was kicked out of Adsense late last year. As soon as that happened it dissapeared from the fifth page of the Google search results to nowhere land. I gave up looking it for after the first 25 pages of hits. Getting terminated sure lets you know where you stand :)
Sorry to hear about this. One of my friends also got terminated.
Hello we saw Your post We are sorry to hear of your troubles with google adsense, But would like to invite you to use our services at http://www.adbites.com we are very similar to adsense, except for the fact that if there is a problem or question on an account we do not just send the dreaded letter , we actually look at each individual situation on a case by case basis and if fraudulent clicks are found then the ip address from which the clicks are coming from is banned and that amount is refunded to the advertisers we do not just shut down an account, there are other ways to deal with issues so please visit us at http://www.adbites.com and see what you think. and please mention us to everyone you know if you find our program to your liking, that way maybe we can set google adsense on notice that there really is a viable competitor out there Thank You Adbites Support
I signed up for adbites and put the ads on the site and the box said "XML page can not transmit" Can you tell us why the ads did not transmit?
Yes at the time you were placing the ads we were updating the xml feed It should be fine now. Be sure to use the [b:fddfd90939]easy feed [/b:fddfd90939]option in your publisher area and specify 1 keyword that relates to your site, Then if you are not getting the relevant ads you want also in the ad code change the network option from 1 to 0 and you will get more relevant ads to your website that way and increase your clickthrough rates and earnings. Please use the easy feed though as its much easier to intergrate than you having to construct the xml feed by hand If you have any problems Please email us at support@adbites.com and we will be happy to assist you
ADBITES, look at our site www.searchenginesinternational.com we put your ads on two pages. Can we put these ads on many websites with one account? Is the code set up for best ad selection for this website? Please let me know how we can improve this program and answer these questions for the benefit of forum members.
Anthony, We have included what part of the code that we would recommend that you change to better suit your website layout and have also included the relevant keywords in your code to more match the content of your website if you will notice the top and bottom parts of the code that contain the javascript have been removed for posting reasons and you will need to add them back on the code or it will not display correctly. Now Bear in mind this is just what we would SUGGEST for you site , you are by NO MEANS ..bound to keep the code this way and are free to modify it anytime you feel the need , by changing the shape of the ad and the color of the ad, and also the main thing that sets us apart from adsense , the KEYWORDS in the code, See we dont have the adsense Idea of "well here are your ads you dont like them TUFF, showing a competitors ads and losing sales to them ..o well its what you get !!" With Adbites you can change the keywords in the code to whatever you want the ads on your website to show, they do NOT have to even be relevant to your website!...This allows you, the publisher to use the more high bid keywords such as "merchant account" "ditech" "mesothelioma" Ect...Ect..... and get Higher paying ads served on your site increasing your payouts This is what really sets us apart from adsense because we give YOU the publisher control of what ads are served on your website, and we feel thats the way it should be ...I mean hey it is YOUR website after all. as far as serving on seperate pages with one account ..YES place the ads on as many sites ,pages as you wish , actually the more you do ..the more clickthroughs you will get and the more you get paid ...simple ...and all you need is the one account.. also we have no restrictions on where you place the , signup pages , forums, where ever you desire to place the ads ..by all means go ahead!! If you need any assistance please let us know we are here for your success Adbites support Recomended code changes // Set this to your Publisher ID inclick_client_id = 2005; inclick_ad_width = 728; inclick_ad_height = 90; inclick_ad_style = "leaderboard"; inclick_code_version = "3"; inclick_ad_color_border = "000000"; inclick_ad_color_background = "ffffff"; inclick_ad_color_headline = "0000ff"; inclick_ad_color_body = "000000"; // Set this to the term you want results for // Leave blank if you are not using keywords // Setting this will overide your channel selection inclick_ad_keyword = "search engines and internet directories"; // Set the network channel setting (required) // 1 = NETWORK (Adbites Complete Ad Network) inclick_ad_channel = 0; // USE THE FOLLOWING SETTING TO ALLOW // RANDOM ADVERTISERS. THIS WILL GIVE VARIETY TO // ADS DELIVERED. SET THIS TO 1 TO TURN ON OR O(ZERO) TO TURN OFF inclick_ad_random = 1;
No one wants to do all the coding work, maybe you should just Email us the code you recommend. You have the email address to 2005
Anthony, No problem The code will be emailed to you Just bear in mind that you can change the keywords at anytime to reflect different ads on your website AdBites Support
