What happened to "Making Money" forum?
I agree. However I really haven't tried to make money on the web yet.
I think it might be a tough thing to do. I had AdSense running and that was looking good but then I got booted out.
I keep hearing about affiliate programs but those all seem cheesy.
Some people are making money selling subscriptions to their websites but you have to have some very serious content for that.
What other ideas are there?
Making money on the net via affiliate programs is pretty much all anyone truly does unless they have a "skill" they sell...
DropShip programs, Affiliate Programs... All under the category of selling other peoples junk! :) The only way to go!
Be very choosy about what programs you select to sell products for and you will generally not look to "cheesy" .. make sure you have content that surrounds it .. and you are set...
There are people who make a fortune doing affliate programs and drop ship programs... you just have to be better then everyone else selling the stuff.
It appears that either no one makes money online or people just don't like to share their "out of the war" secrets. So which one is it?? :?
Andrey
Unfortunantly its different for everyone... If everyone shared their "secret" it doesnt mean their secret will work for others.. The more your secret gets out the more people that use it and the less everyone makes...
The only secret is working your a$$ off and lots of SE Luck! .... I make my money through the blood sweat and tears of me and my team...
I had a client we took on not to long ago... It was one of those that you truly want to help the person cases... It was suppose to be a project that was based on affiliate and drop shipping products so no money was needed .... this guy turned around and had a panic attack that nothing would be available when customers ordered and bought inventory against everyone here's advice... thought that starting in the beginning of December he was going to make the Christmas rush.... even though his merchant account wasn't even completed until Dec 30th.... now is mad that he isn't in the top of the search engines even tho his site is literally only a couple weeks old....
Retail period takes a minimum of 3-6 months to even see a few dollars because whatever your selling unless its handcrafted by you ... hundreds of others are selling the EXACT same thing...
The internet is the best way to make money... but it takes time, creativity, dedication and a hell of a lot of work... you're best option to find YOUR success is pick a topic you know, enjoy and can see yourself working with ... and do it better then the others at the "top" of that field...
I would have to disagree.
I know dozens of cases when developer is brilliant at what he/she does but doesn't know how to market him/herself. They do huge projects for little money just to pay the rent. And you just look at them and know that they would make hundreds of thousands of dollars a year if someone would give them a chance or if they knew some marketing. At the same time you have terrible professionals that do very good because they know how to sell.
To sum up, marketing is very important. You can be the next Picasso and will never be discovered or you can have no idea what you are doing but be the next Bill Gates in marketing and make millions. I think thats why internet works different for everyone. It's because people have different skills in marketing and selling stuff. Thats just my theory...

well lets talk about some "must do" marketing things for the web.
