finally some good serps from google!

Ok wait.. does this mean that ONE data center out of (what are we up to now 8?) all the centers will have the filter gone??? Which gives you, what, a 1 in 8 shot of good results.. or that all of them will be picking back up this result?? I'd love to be back on page one again!!!

supposedly those results are supposed to be the live one in a few days! that's looking good for you :)

I think that looks good for almost everybody, at least better.

I keep checking...

yeah it hasn't happened yet! that is the scuttlebutt that these serps are supposed to roll in soon. we'll see!

btw, those results are on www2.google.com and www2.google.com

I do not know what "data ceneter" we are on but we are back in the google listings -- granted, not where we were before, but we are back!

They were on www.google.com briefly too! These are some very tasty results. Plus I see pure Inktomi results now for almost every search on Yahoo. Things are getting good!

These are gorgeous! Bring these back! The lost listings have been found! I am saved!

K nobody make a noise or breathe or it will all chane again.

These are still not live yet on www! I am so ready! Come on Google: baby needs a new pair of shoes!

This update has been taking days to propogate. I still primarily see the bogus listings.

absolutely tedious. i guess this is what the old google dance was. you know you're in and you wait for the update.

Seems like they abandoned the old "rolling update" deal too. I wonder how quickly new pages are ranking now.

I agree with Justin.. Noone move, breath... nothing!! I LOVE these results.. and I don't wanna move again.... Cross your fingers for me peoples... I update with the "mini update" this week... and a major up date in a couple weeks... PLEASE Google Gods don't hurt me for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are doing great! Everything is going to work out :)

link text is paying off yet again!

Looks like Frontpage Templates has been won by FPWorld. It's nice to see the Google optimizing we've all been doing hasn't been discarded forever.

Indeed it does. FPWorld is at the top of the World!

What I'm seeing too is that results ranking you high in Google are now ranking you high in almost every search engine. I doubt that will last but it's a nice bonus for now.

The Google rankings finally seemed to have stabilized.

I seriously doubt it Searchey. I think it's just a beginning of some ultimate filter which might actually be a good thing...What that did with Florida update was drop all optimized sites from the top and be left with educational sites and pretty much useless crap like that. Now I think Google will try to set up a smarter filter that would differentiate between optimized and just good quality commercial sites more accurately and therefore preserve the quality of search results.

That's why competition is such a good thing now. Google may have been forced to quit filtering their results because they were losing eyeballs. How quickly search engine dominance can change if the results start looking bad to everyone, even the regular end user searchers. How much wholesale experimentation are they going to be able to do if it effects the results for months?

True and that is probably the main reason why they quit the filter. It was taking too long to implement and perfect it but now they have more experience. Now they can start from where they ended. Bottom line is that Google might setup new filters very soon but I think we should enjoy what we have now while it lasts.

Yeah. I mean there is no way to predict the future but I bet we're "safe" from Google's wrath for a month or so. They really don't have that much time to experiment or tweak anything, especially with this alleged IPO of theirs. They should be trying to keep things as stable as possible.

These results still shifted a bit. Not too dramatic, but still noticable. Now the question is, what happens to new pages?

here's an article from a guy who thinks google serps aren't relevant

People are always complaining about spam in the SERPS. I saw some guy define SPAM as Sites Placing Above Mine and I sort of liked that one. Despite being aware of changes occuring because of updates, I can still generally find what I'm looking for. Google still works pretty well despite occasional glitches.

Some of these Google results look mysteriously like the pre-Florida index used to look. Definitely time for link trading again.

Google ROCKS lately... If only I can dare to dream that it wont go away again... ALL of the data centers seem to be updating us into the first page... I LOVE IT!!! and at the same time... Which end is up again??? I forgot what sleep and rest was like!!!

these results are gonna stay for awhile! and they are good :)

How about we just stop worrying and make the best out of this situation

some of my sites came back strong, others came back weak

vary your anchor text. make sure you don't have the same text on all of your links. it can be varied by a word or two. change that and you should rank again :)

*gasp* I like the google results, from a searcher standpoint. I can find stuff again! :-D *cheer*

check out yahoo too and tell us your impressions. i have been finding the yahoo results to be very good also.

They seem pretty relevant to me.

This results are definitely sticking. It's a good thing they backed out of the "expert" system they were clumsily using. There were way too many directory listings. It was as if pointing at a page automatically made you an expert. These newer results are very well balanced.
