This is quite a sizzling market!
We need to create the market. A few caveats first: Does the website generate money? If not, what is the value of the site? Things like Yahoo directory listings and PageRank should have a value of their own. If the website already sells products or makes an income, what is a realistic valuation? With web traffic, it can change so fast that it's unlikely that you want to pay for much more than 6X monthly revenues.
None of the sites that have websites for sale now have any type of metrics to value the websites. Of course sites with lots of content and organic links will merit more money than cookie cutter one page sites. The type of sites sold are E-bay are garbage. Small well developed sites can fetch a good bit of money if the seller promotes them right.
i may be thinking about selling my website after i make it, it will be: http://www.ice666.net I haven't bought it yet, but i have started it on an offline program, its looking good so far. It should be up within the year...Kinda tight on money right now...not that u care. But i will have it on all big search engines. And i will be trading links with other big sites. It is for games/programming/web design/forums/ shit like that... well, hope to have it up soon for you to see! Mike D.
