Testing pages on my own machine

if its a windows machine you can just double click on it. that will open your browser. or do as you said. refer to the pages as file names on your hard drive and not as domain names. either way will work great!

Yep. Wouldn't it be a bummer if you had to upload every change you made before you could test it? Cant you test HTML code on a macintosh by simply double clicking too?

not sure because i've never seen a mac!

Thanks for the help! It works. FYI, Here's what I ran into: I originally wrote the code in Microsoft Word, and saved it as a .html file. When I first double clicked on it, it simply opened back up in Word (I should have expected that!). So then I right cliked on the filename and opened with I.E. Well, this time I.E. opened, but it literally displayed the code as opposed to "executing" the HTML. So then I cut & pasted the code into Notepad and saved as a HTML file. That did the trick, as this file now default opens I.E. and "executes" the HTML. In an unrelated note, I managed to cut up my hand pretty bad today (not quite bad enugh for stitches), so I am typing with one hand. This is hard!!!!! Thanks again!

Sorry to hear about your hand. Hand injuries are tough in this business.
