True. For the near future this is Google's game to lose. Keep on doing the things that are considered right for Google and that should rank you high in the other engines too. The only engine that is really different right now is Teoma. They are using a seperate type of link analysis, but I really don't think they have much traffic to brag about.

Big Rob..nice obeservation..Ive never noticed that myself untill you brought it up. Thats a strange deal there....you'd think for sure they'd have some kind of national television campaign.
With as much money as they supposedly have, they should start doing it soon. I don't think too many people are aware of Google outside of savvy people.
Google doesent list all inbound links (only shows about 9 links) http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=link%3Awww%2Emanvish%2Ecom yahoo lists lot more but... i observed one more thing It does not show precise total number of links in the first page as seen in this url (first page) it shows about 380 inbound links for manvish http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=www.manvish.com&ei=UTF-8&fr=fp-tab-web-t&n=20&fl=0&x=wrt where as when i move on to next page it shows 40 links http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=www.manvish.com&ei=UTF-8&n=20&fl=0&fr=fp-tab-web-t&b=21 And all these are valid inbound links

i like your site edwin--never seen it before. on yahoo, i definetly have started using it as opposed to google. I think, Yahoo! is the one that should start an ad campain. I disagree with you webmastery, everybody in the whole world knows who google is, it's synonomis with search and only the "savvy" even considers that there's something better. I definetly would start a TV ad campain if i was yahoo! That's what i've seen--of course maybe it's differant among the people i know, it seems to aply to adults to though.
yahoo has been running ads all day every day on mtv. they call themselves the lifestyle engine now.

no cable? rickyjo i am amazed! yahoo has been running those ads really consistently. over time they will get more and more people to search. the results for google and yahoo have a lot of similarities. yahoo was imitating google for a long time before they unleashed their index in february.
Guys im seeing major differences here between yahoo and goolgle. I left another post on it but....Ive seen major differences the last few days between the two. It started with an unbelievable crawl by Inktomi. Ive all of a sudden started getting traffic from yahoo to about a 15 to 1 ratio as comparied by Google. Ive gotten a couple of decent ( just ok) number 1 rankings ..several good top 5's and first page results and have even seen one of my top 3 search terms that Ive wanted for a while now enter directly from no wheres to number 25 on yahoo results. Actaully I was nowhere to be found on yahoo also untill a few days ago. If I search my url it shows me 10 pages on results but I can only get to the 20 on page one and 3 on page 2 and all the rest of the pages just bring up those last 3 from page 2. Im thinking it's updating and hasnt got the big crawl i had last week put in yet. This crawl from inktomi was about 750 hits and 8mb worth in 2 days. That may not be big for some sites but for my site thats huge. Im wondering if possibly the good showing in yahoo is a sign of things to come for Google? Im a lil frustrated right now with Google cause of all the hard work and they still don't pick up all my links and my PR dropped back from a 4 to a 3 and i still see NO traffic from them at all. In the last 3 days Ive been found by 87 different search terms on yahoo and in comparison have had a total of 5 hits from one misspelled search term come from Google. Its just too big of a difference between the two for me to think they are doing anything even remotly the same when it comes to their rankings. Im curious if you guys have seen a drastic difference in the last couple of days? Maybe something new is approaching and Im the first one to be affected by it? Who knows. I'd love to hear what you guys think about this. Hawg
the rankings are coming faster in yahoo. they seem to be much fresher now that google. probably the big problem in google is you need more pagerank.
how come when i use quotes Yahoo! doesn't do exact matches x.x
