Didnt so much mean to be knocking Elance....Im sure there are some fine people who do work off the site. I really just meant ..exercise caution when choosing and awarding a job. Theres some real scumballs out there.

I think it's okay to knock Elance. They should do as much as possible to stop fraud, but I doubt they do. The disturbing thing about what you posted is that the person had good reviews. That sort of ruins the whole process. Generally, the more data you have, the more reliable the risk is, but not in this case. I thinks its valid to warn people. Don't risk more money than you can afford to lose.
The thing about this is that bugs me the most is that the guy had been banned from Elance before using a different company name for the same problem.
i'm sure he used fake info both times didn't he? i mean if they let a fraud back in that is really bad!
Edwin..thats what suprised me...he used the same contact info.....the same name ( His real name at that) and all he did was change his business name...and he was allowed back in.
That is very bad policy for them to follow.
