Organic SEO

The number one website for Organic SEO on Yahoo says: "Organic search engine optimization -- also known as natural or algorithmic search engine optimization, or organic SEO -- is a viable way to obtain search engine exposure without paying the recurring costs associated with pay-per-click advertising models. This method involves optimizing your Web site content, design, architecture, and linking strategy based on the relevancy algorithms search engines use to index and rank Web pages." To me it sounds like the basic "White Hat SEO" tricks of rewriting the pages and making them more search engine friendly.

i think its a corny way of saying "non-spammy" they only use real methods. rather than crazy inflationary methods like cloaking etc etc

Gotcha. Thanks for that!

It seems like a relatively unusual description. Perhaps a bit overarching. Organic SEO could also mean "grow your own links" without any fertilizer :)

webmastery, :D Your definition makes more sense than any other definition of "organic seo"

It means healthy SEO! All natural ingredients and nothing "artificial". But we all know all SEO is somewhat articial.

lol! i love this forum. I still don't know what Organic SEO is though :-D, guess it just means non-spammy like edwin says? *shrugs*

Basically yes. When someone links to you because they liked you article, you used natural methods to improve your rank. But I also think it's currently being used as a marketing word and it might have different meanings to different SEOs.

So I dont have to buy compost??
