imho, it would probably not be worth the cost. and you have to very careful of foreign sales, especially with a product like templates, etc. too easy for fraud
Believe me I know.. We've disallowed several "major fraud" countries due to getting over $18k worth of fraud charges!!!
18k is a bit much! always be diligent in fighting fraud. its only going to get bigger and bigger.
You're tellin me! What really sucked was that the credit card companies and everyone wouldn't help us... "They seem like valid transactions" ... Card Codes and everything matched.... It usually happens to downloadable products... Block free emails and that kills most of the problems...

the credit card companies have to refund their transaction costs in fraud cases so they probably would rather stick the customer with it.
The merchants are the ones that get it.... Whatever they lose in having to refund money, they charge the merchants believe me *sigh*

going global to what expense? would the "investment" return your capital? My guess would be "no" i'd rather service english speaking folks myself.
Believe me Feathers.. I agree... half my staff wants to go global, the other half says NOOOOO ... My opinion.. Same as yours... I have enough trouble dealing with some of the people now... Several times a day I answer emails... "I just bought your FrontPage Template.. do I need FrontPage??" Ummm what do you think?? "My site doesn't look like your template .. why??" Umm because you deleted half the layout!!! "I can't afford FrontPage, How do I get you my content so you can put it in the template??" ... Can't afford FrontPage, Can't afford me! Downfall of this whole webmaster job: 10-30% of customers are Stupid People Best part of this job: The rest are AWESOME, Fun and a Pleasure to work with! Speaking of which, I gotta go do some work for a client... :)
and quality emails are the best part.. what in the heck is this **client** saying, what do they mean and how am I supposed to "help" them? and what if you don't speak the language? hire a translator to figure it all out?? :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:

i say go worldwide when you've exhausted all the business in the US. that might take some time.
as a web designer .. if "exhaust" all US business possible.... I SOOOOO better be able to retire! LOL
exactly. once you exhausted all the business in the US, you can retire instead of worrying about Finland, Denmark, Italy....etc etc etc :)

Save up! I finally took a vacation this year after 10 years. It was worth every penny!
