how do i include downloads?

:welcome generally all you have to do is ftp the file to the directory. then you use the file command to link to it like this: [code:1:85e425b265] <file="filename"> [/code:1:85e425b265] that should be all you have to do!

so your saying that it should be something like this: [code:1:173aafcea4] <file="filename">click here to download</file>[/code:1:173aafcea4] is that something like what it should be or...... :?:

even easier, just make it a regular link: [code:1:a24e6ad7a8] <a href="/filename.html">File to download here</a> [/code:1:a24e6ad7a8] the users browsers won't know what to do with the link and will open a "save as" dialogue box.

but is the one I posted the right way of doing it?

This one is correct: [code:1:2a8c6c1c38] <a href="/filename.html">File to download here</a> [/code:1:2a8c6c1c38]

alright thanks guys

Hi; I'm having a similar problem. I can't figure out how to "ftp" file to directory. I have a compiled ebook I would like to share. I would like to offer it as a free download from my site but can't figure out how to do it. I tride to zip it up, but that just brought about error issues. I tride to upload from my paid server side but more errors. I've tride to drag it, drop it, cut and paste and well.........I'm obviously missing something. Please help me. Thank you ahead of time Cea
