So Raven, do you still want out of the PPC Page on www.searchenginesinternational.com I am going to redesign the TOP SE/Directories page, I will put you there if you think it is better for you. Do you want me to remove the mention in PPC ENGINES/Directories

Anthony, check your PM.

Raven, Your message must not have transmitted, the only one there is the original one you sent me.

I think something is messed up. I sent another PM to you but when I checked my sent box, it wasn't there (neither was the one that I sent yesterday). So I sent yet another one and still there is nothing showing in my sent box. I don't know what is going on and I don't know how to fix it. And now we are in the directories part of the forum talking about wayward PMs!

I got it and responed to your message. I think that directories are good for a lot of small webmasters that just can not play the Google game of whole lots of links and whole lots of ADSENSE. It seems that unless you have ADSENSE on your pages and get great clickthru on these ads that Google will not list you high up in the SERP's any longer. I was on a forum yesterday and look at the following comment a webmaster gave to me. Google sold out a long time ago, The Florida Update was the ADSENSE update, Google redirects traffic to their partners. That is why the results suck, it is called the ADSENSE Redirection ALGO -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I had a site which was kicked out of Adsense late last year. As soon as that happened it dissapeared from the fifth page of the Google search results to nowhere land. I gave up looking it for after the first 25 pages of hits. SO I CONCLUDE THIS: That Google is playing a advertising game with web surfers and webmasters. If you are not BIG enough or have a HIGH enough volume of CTR on ADSENSE they simply will not give you consistant high rankings at ALL. So I think that directories such as Gimpsy can help small webmasters who can not play the GOOGLE AD GAME, really small webmasters with low page views have a small hope to place consistantly high in Google SERP's For this reason looking at alternative sources of exposure is good, since the focus on Google is silly unless you have 500,000 page views a month or more and have large amounts of Inbound Links, you have a snowball chance in hell of winning with GOOGLE. So directory listings are great for the small webmasters and Gimpsy fills this need.
