fast and clean but it's missing some level of "spunk". one might think about making it look "prettier"
Thanks... It was designed to serve AdSense ads, and was made very simple and quick to load. I've just made it to #5 on Google on one of my main keywords 'cheap laptops'... The 'cheap laptops' keyword is getting around 25,000 searches a month according to Overture, and being #5 is really paying off. I'm still working on a few more keywords to get in the first 5 on. We'll see next month - I'm expecting to move higher next Google dance. My second site http://www.omamia.com started only 3 weeks ago, and now getting 40-60 unique visitors a day... and mainly from Yahoo. This was the first time I used free Yahoo submission, and they picked me up in about two(!) weeks. I'm still to submit to Yahoo paid inclusion - I usually do it first thing but this time I wanted to test how much weight it'll add to my PR. My DMOZ review for omamia.com is pending - DMOZ is taking much longer these days and getting more selective...
How costly is Overture I must admit I am kind of turned off to the whole pay concept, but one must do what one must do to get paid: wink: For example how many pages do you submit and after the submit fee is their any more fee's that they charge? My main client works on a very tight and small budget so a insane Overture budget is out of the question. I know I have been jumping for joy since last night when I checked sheboyganbuilders.com and the index page is middle pg2 (google) Sorry I know I have traveled off subject I apologize
angry_wm, If you're talking about submitting to Yahoo! Directory... you can only submit the index page - $299 non-adult and $600 adult sites. This is a recurring yearly fee... No other fees ever apply.
ouch ... a little steep ;) but thanks for the info.
nice work on the sites and good work on the seo. "cheap laptops" sounds like a good word to be running adsense on. if the adsense doesn't pan out you can always add an affiliate link to a place that sells laptops.
omamia, you've yet to offer a reply to 'my questionable keyword approach' as you phrased it. I left it open because I thought others might respond but I'm quite happy to show how it is achieved. It's quite simple for an SEO guy. Come on, figure it.
