How to Change Forums Colour

I've just changed the theme or skin for the forums but it doesn't seem to change the basic alternating light/rich blue of the thread background. How can I change this? I find it difficult to read large blocks of text against the darker blue background. Help much appreciated as I'm developing a squint :)

What theme did you change to? I actually plan on removing all of the skins. They are buggy by default.

Give me the hex code you want it to be. I've heavily modified this site. There are 3 colors to be changed. Light, darker and darkest and the text. If you can give me the hex codes I'll make the changes. Accessibilty is your specialty so I'll leave it up to you :)

Thanks webmastery, but will these changes not be global to all users, not just my profile? I don't want to suggest anything which may effect other members without consultation.

They'll be global changes. But I don't think it will be a problem. The text is probably tough for everyone to read.

Ok, webmastery, I'll knock up a few perhaps better contrasting palettes, up them as images, then we can put it to the vote. Ok?

Actually I think I can make the changes on a different theme. Either way we'll get the job done. We can always poll the others. Hey, this is the first "talking SEO Head" I've ever seen here. We should probably animate our heads so it looks like we're having a conversation :)
