Cookie problem here?

i haven't noticed any such issues myself. have you cleared your cookies? chances are that would fix it. if not, what browser are you using?

I have the same exact problem... which is why I just learned to watch dates ... (BTW.. I use IE)

there aren't a ton of options concerning cookies, but i will troubleshoot. my IE 6 works dandy.

I use IE 6 too.. maybe I have some setting off ??? *shrug* I don't know much 'bout that stuff...

i made a change. try clearing your cookies .. closing your browser and trying again. see if works then. you will have to login again after you kill your cookies.

what change did you make luthor? what browser are you using? is it working now?

I am going to PM you ... I think there is a very simple explanation for this.

okay. let's see if this issue clears up. fpworld, if you get a chance click tools / internet options / delete cookies close explorer. restart. login and see if it is fixed.

Ok.. cleared it all out... Now to test.. I need ya'll to post in 2 different sections.... so I can see what happens when I go back

okay here's one.

Whatever was done.. apparently worked.... this time the orange files stayed orange!

okay cool. when you install the phpbb they say leave the cookie settings on the default, which should work for 99 % of sites. the default is "mysite.com". when you have cookies from more than one site called "mysite.com" the browser gets confused. solution, change it to ".yourdomain.com" problem solved :)

Whew! whatever you did worked! I didn't have to clear anything but now get orange icons! wohoo! sometimes helps to ask what the heck is goin on doesn't it? will be back now to post on a regular basis :lol:
