That's definitely the type of website that is well suited to forum sigs. Find the game sites and just post here and there. That's a sure way to get on topic traffic. The gaming traffic is generally so huge it should be no problem. Also go searching for link partners. I think the related games sites should serve you well for that.
thanks for the suggestions, I used to be a member of a gaming forum called frag gamers. the admin really had is priorities miss placed and thought I might try where he failed. If FG ever opens up again I don’t suspect any support from him but will hunt down socom and soldner developer pages and list with them. I guess where I really come up blank is trying to SEO phpBB any suggestions...?

The hack is a must. PhpBB boards are some of the best spidered on the Internet with correct set of mod_rewrite rules.

when you find the hack it contains all the rules. mod_rewrite is very slick. it runs as a module on apache and it rewrites the urls as they're served to the browser. that way it can take all the php with sessions ids or anything unsightly and clean them up to appear like regular .html.
that might be an issue seeing I dont own the server I am hosted. or is that something one of the techies can do for me?
should be no problem at all. just make sure its hosted on apache. as long as you can upload a .htaccess file and the rules are right you will have no problem.

sorry to break in so late. yes, the site looks fantastic, brilliant, good job. Consider a higher contrast text color though?
