I even noticed the Wisenut Bot on my server logs yesterday, MSN (Mr. Gates Is very busy, more crawls than anyone including Google. What does that tell you, I even see the university crawlers hitting my sites. Mike I do not know if us baby web designers who can not even use Dreamweaver yet are ready for such a organization. But I understand the W3C standards are important and XHTML, but for most of us that stuff is like speaking Spanish. It ain't all that easy, I guess that will keep you in 3 hots and a cot for a while.
the wisenut bot sure crawls a lot compared to the traffic it delivers.
Edwin there is so much competition now that all of these small engines will give Google a run for their money down the road. I get a lot of hits from devil finder of all engines. So people are using the small engines. Go to www.searchenginesinternational.com and look at all the small new engines that are out there. The market is much bigger than a lot of folks think. Looksmart owns Wisenut and they will be a force in the search business and PPC down the road.
wow, this is interesting! are any of these small search engines any good? how about search engines of specific topics? are there any webgame search engines out there?
They are all good for something Rickyjo, I know there are some good ones on the link provided a couple post up. Good searching, do some searches on all of those engines for your keywords (games) (search games) you should find a lot of game portals out there, why don't you start a games forum? 8O :!:
check dmoz for specific engines and directories ricky. it makes sense thats the more specific the search is the more likely you are to be able to use the traffic.
I am just wondering are there any good directories out there that have high pr in the page your site goes on.
Bluefind is the only one I know of that has some inner pages with high PR. They are paying a lot for monthly advertising which is boosting the PR to unusual levels. They only accept paid submissions, tho.
