What about a blend of these things? I think to be successful on the web, you need a few streams of income from your site(s). That way, you have your butt covered in the event that one "stream" takes a hit, or loses rank.. if you have another program or product to offer the pain won't be as great. You know what they say about having "all your eggs in one basket"
yeah good point. that is something i must remember when i try to go into bussiness. do you ever get obsesive about one idea and put all your effort into it?

If what works? Selling on the internet? If there wasn't money in it, I doubt many people would fancy themselves "webmasters" It is a time intensive job, but once the fruits of your labor start paying off it is well worth it. Do you have any ideas on what you want to sell/promote RickyJo?
me? well if it was on the internet it would prob'y be programing of one type or another, eventually. i would *Like* to program games and sell them, but i doubt i could do that w/out joining a big company. i do use the gamemaker sometimes. i made one game with a spaseship i called 2307 (the year) and then i changed all the objects, the spaceship to a hamburger, the space background to a table, and the asteroids to plates and forks and stuff, and the evil ships to vegitables. it was fun. i really want to do music though, i could sell albums over the internet. the games are here, www.rickysworld.net/2307.html if you scroll down to "about 5 billion AD" you can download the hamburger one. all those games are going to be named by year. we are gona make a ship one, you know, probabaly pirates. it's a lot of fun ^-^
